"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is lovely, extremely cosy. I didn’t check the listing completely, so didn’t notice the half bath in the bathroom, it was tricky to wash being 6ft, so just be aware when booking!"

"We are a group of 8 ladies enjoying a weekend away and we had a wonderful weekend at Downs Cottage. The property was perfect… comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, superb location, sauna was a bonus and the garden was very pretty. Deal itself was a very welcoming town, friendly people. We’d recommend Margarita’s for take away pizza and Mike’s Bikes for cycle hire. Walking distance into Deal from the cottage was about 30mins, which along the seafront was no time at all. It's not a luxury hotel! - but was functional, clean and a great option for a weekend at a festival in neighbouring town Margate. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Margate as you are a short 15min walk away from the train station and right in the old town centre next to great coffee shops, restaurants and more.
