"A friend and I rendezvoused in the Canaan Valley in early November to hike in the nearby Dolly Sods and other trails in the area. Garagemahal was exactly as advertised: clean, quiet, spacious (for two people), and conveniently located. The owners/managers (Chip and Laurie), who live across the driveway, were friendly and available to provide information or report problems to (there weren't any), but were otherwise unobtrusive. We will return."

"Beautiful cabin nestled in the trees. Perfect place for visiting Blackwater Falls Park. The cabin was the perfect size and offered all of the amenities needed. We have our dog who always travels with us and this place was perfect for her too. The bed was very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the morning sunrise from the deck!"

"Nice and clean, very comfortable. Would stay again. Contract confusing over using heat or a/c, sounded like could not adjust temp, touch thermostates. We were only there 1 night so was not much of a problem at this time of year. Internet was an issue, it was the only time I had to pay for internet and was very hard to get connected. For the price of the rental we all thought the wifi should be included. This was by far quite a major inconvience. Otherwise very nice. "

"My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and were pleasantly surprised by all the host had to offer! From complimentary snacks and drinks and a well stocked kitchen, to comfortable beds and a cozy wood-burning fireplace, we truly felt at home. The binder of information about the area went above and beyond, giving us lots of ideas for activities and destinations. Having dry wood available for the fireplace was a great bonus. "Jim is a lovely and responsive host. The property is just as pictured on the website. The home is a treasure trove of objects from around the world. The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen has most all conveniences that we needed to prepare meals. We were there in early November, I'm sure it is even more beautiful during the summer and autumn months when you can enjoy the outside features. "

"Excited for our long weekend trip. The attached kitchen area over the garage had a leaking sink which my girl had parked in there and it leaked through the floor onto her car hood. Had to fix it just tighten up everything on p trap. Pool table had 1 working que stick but it was warped, there was 4 others but no tips on them! The dryer was packed slam full of linens from previous stay I suppose. For the price I would’ve expected better but overall it’s a nice place. Also the driveway is very...

"We just spent a long ski weekend with two other families. Enjoyed the location, the open floor plan, the hot tub. Size wise the house was a little tight for the whole crew. Beds are squeezed into the two lower bedrooms and there’s no separate space for kids to hang out (which we knew) . Clearly has some new elements in the kitchen but missing a handful of kitchen items you’d expec and is otherwise updated from whnm it was built"

"We loved our stay at Mountain Life Memories! Not only was the house super nice, it was also clean, comfy, and had all that we need for a short get-a-way with family. The furniture was comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked, master bathroom and shower were awesome! We had a fire in the fire pit, hiked, and played pickleball. Check-in and out were quick and easy. I would love to stay again!"
