Woodhaven could also be called "Hidden Gem," exquisitely private, well-appointed retreat tucked in the mountainside of Old Timberline. Woodhaven is perfect for family vacationers or friends looking for a cozy mountain getaway. Featuring a glorious open great room brightened by windows on three sides, accented by the stunning wood floors, equipped with a kitchen island/bar, and warmed by a charming interior stone wood-burning fireplace. The dining area comfortably seats up to 10 at the Amish-style table.

As a bonus, the living room has an indoor shuffleboard table that will entertain for hours. For our warm weather guests, Woodhaven is one of the few in the area equipped with central air conditioning. The fully paved circular driveway can easily accommodate at least four vehicles and provides the convenience of no steps to negotiate between you and the main living/eating areas when unloading luggage or groceries. Perfect for holidays, this is truly an all-season home.

The cozy front porch is a great location to enjoy sunny days. Move to the rear deck for starry nights with spectacular views of the Milky Way from the large, private back deck with a hot tub, comfy furniture, and a fabulous new gas firepit to gather with your family.

Don't forget your pooch as this home is pet friendly. $70 per pet plus tax fee applies. This home has Central A/C and does allow pets. Some vacation sites offer incorrect information however property management website, Canaan Realty has the correct description.

This home is located in the Old Timberline Gated Community where you will have access to two lakes, and exclusive access to Dolly Sods trail head as well as access to Canaan Valley Wildlife Trail heads and miles of maintained trails around the conservancy and lakes within the community.

All Canaan Realty guests have complimentary access to the privately owned Mirror Lake Recreation Area. Enjoy fishing, canoeing, swimming, hiking, biking and more! Canoes, pedal boat, kayaks, SUP boards, life jackets and oars are provided at no additional charge to our guests.
Woodhaven is located within 5 miles of Mirror Lake.

Exceptional stay
Loved everything about the stay. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, roomy, stocked well in the kitchen and in the bedrooms. Hot tub and fireplace were very welcoming. We stayed here before, and hope to come back. Great location too!

This property is in a great location for skiing at Timberline. Getting to the parking lot for Timberline takes maybe 5 minutes. The home is clean, well furnished and comfortable.

Great Getaway
Our family of four and small dog had a wonderful relaxing time in this house! The open floor plan was very welcoming as was all of the natural light from the many windows. The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable as well. We loved playing on the shuffleboard, the only issue was there wasn't very much sand which made it tricky to keep the pucks sliding well. We're hoping to come back again!

Timberline cabin stay
We all really enjoyed the cabin and it's location. Everything in the cabin was very nice. Overall it was a great experience. We only had a few minor issues. The were mice droppings throughout a lot of the kitchen drawers, the oven had not been cleaned out (it began to smoke immediately when we turned it on), several living room light bulbs were burned out. Thankfully there were some spare light bulbs provided but not nearly enough, we ended up buying some to replace the rest. The thermostat was not especially user friendly, but like I said those were minor, but everything else was very nice. Plenty of clean towels, blankets, etc. The hot tub was great. We liked the gated entry point. I would defintely stay at again. I have stayed with Timberline cabins in the past and never had a bad stay anytime.

My aunt and I stayed here a week. It was so comfortable and was exactly what we needed. A safe, peaceful place to relax and make our home base for various day trips in the area. We went to Blackwater Falls, Cass Railroad, Elkins for the Gandy Dinner Theater. It was simply perfect. We enjoyed our privacy, and the ability to cook our own meals. I would definitely rent this home again. We were really lucky to experience the beauty of this area.

Everything was fine except 2 things...there was dog hair throughout the whole house...even on the pillows of some of the beds. Also i pointed out to the property manager the amenities stated pool and spa. There is no pool and/or community pool. The management appeared to not really care

Great house and great Location
This was our third trip to this home with Friends. 9 of us stayed this year and we had more than enough space for everyone . The kitchen, living room and dining area are great for large groups. We had plenty of room to eat and play games. The location to Dolly Sods is wonderful for hiking. We will be back!

Awesome House Located in Great Location, Old Timberline!
The house with it’s layout, fire pit and hot tub make this house a great place to stay. Another great reason to stay here is a short drive to the top of the mountain and you can hike into Dolly Sods. The only issue we found was the house was not well prepped nor cleaned. There was an empty paper towel tube and an empty soap bottle next to the kitchen sink. The bottom few steps had substantial lint and hair. We located the vacuum which was full of dog hair. Even with the lack of cleaning which we took care of, we would definitely stay here again. The only other recommendation I would give is to extend the roof over the hot tub. We really enjoyed it, but when the wind blew the snow off the roof, it was extremely cold on our heads.

We ad a great weekend at te property. The house inneat and very roomy. We had a lot of fun playing shuffle board. Enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing. Mostly well equipped, but could use a few items in the kitchen.

The Great Escape
The house was as described in the write up and in the reviews. What a beautiful mountain setting in a secluded and convenient environment. Some of the amenities are showing their age and are borderline ready for updates. Unfortunately, the dryer was not working, and it was recently replaced, no fault of the owner, which made the cleaning process more challenging for the staff. Therefore, the home wasn't as clean as we thought it should be upon our arrival. We had a good stay and the cabin was very convenient to Timberline for skiing and to many local hiking areas.

Very nice house and a good location. The house was very clean. The shuffle board and hot tub were great to have. Nice views off the back deck at sunset. The access to Dolly Sods at the top of the ridge was great for us. We would rent this house again. Thank you.

Homey, comfortable, warm. We appreciated the plowed driveway just before our departure due to its steepness and the 40 degree drop in temperature after rain. Also grateful for quick response from maintenance for a small problem.
