"The house was lovely. Had everything we needed as advertised. Unfortunately, the town of Damascus was devastated by a flood due to Hurricane Helene. We lost power about 9:40am on 9/27. Also, lost water around the same time. We had to evacuate around 5:30pm on 9/27. We apologize for not being able to wash the dishes or complete some of the other check out procedures due to the circumstances. We are devastated for the community of Damascus as they have suffered catastrophic damage in town. Luckily...

"It is a very convenient location. Across the street is the Grocery store with gasoline and the pizza/sandwich shop. Later, we did walk 250 yards to the brewery. Small parking area for a large p/u truck. Biggest drawback is that it is only 15 feet from the main road going through Damascus, which tends to be busy and noisy. And no front or back usable porch.."

"Owners provided history of the home and is beautifully decorated and clean. Close to everything you need. The owners were also very knowledgeable with resources in the area with the hurricane that came through. I’m glad that they had an opening because I had a reservation at a motel and was canceled and this home was reasonably priced and was in the area that I needed to be. Thank You Christine and Steve for all your help with resources it really helped."

"We are still bragging about this property days after returning home. I'm not sure where to start. From the moment you walk in there is an at home feeling. The cabin is so well laid out for comfort. "This place is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from it all and relax. The furnishings and equipment make the most of its size. Kitchen supplies were outstanding. "the cabin had everything to offer! Loved the hot tub, the wrap around porch, a cosy bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. "We had a wonderful stay at Terry's property, even though we were there through Hurricane Helene. Because of the solar power, we were never without electricity, water, etc, despite the terrible storm. We were incredibly grateful to be in such a well equipped house to ride out the weather!
