I felt like I was in a prison
Start out with the good part, the unit was clean & tidy with with linen and towels. However, parts of the walls were peeling and no spices in the kitchen. Shower gel is just enough for one shower.
I received my rental confirmation and it never said that I needed to call back in order to get access codes. The building was completely fenced off. The front entrance has a lock that requires a code. The code was never provided to me, so I had to stay outside on the street in 85 degree weather until someone came out of the building. The man won't let me in but told me to walk around to the back in the parking area. He drove out and I went through the gate into the compound. All the doors were locked and no code keys or anyone visible. Walking around I finally came across a door that was propped open with the deadbolt. I got to my door and it needed a code to get in. I had no phone number to call, I was hot, tired and hungry. Also, due to the network outage affecting Verizon nationwide, I had limited ways to reach anyone. I managed to text my fiancée who was finally able to get me the code. All these should have been provided upon confirmation not put through unnecessary stress.
I was afraid to leave my room for the fear of not being able to get back in, so I ordered takeout. I went to my event the next day and came back early and I was only able to get in because someone left the front door propped open. This is a really bad setup and a dangerous situation. I felt very traumatized
