About this space
Relax & unwind in this charming traditional Scottish cottage located in the 'Scottish Riviera'.

With 3 bedrooms (sleeping 6) the cottage is set in one of the most desirable villages along the Solway Coast within easy walking distance of Rockcliffe beach.

Deceptively large, the cottage offers everything you could need for your stay along with a welcoming wood burner for cooler months and large, enclosed garden to enjoy in summer.

The space
Part of the charm of 'The Cottage' is it's quaint, traditionally Scottish appearance from the outside but revealing somewhat of a 'Tardis' on the inside!

The open plan sitting & dining area is a spacious but welcoming space offering the opportunity for a cosy evening in front of the wood burner after a fun filled day exploring all this beautiful area has to offer. Enjoy a relaxing night in front of the TV on the comfortable sofas, or, there is plenty of room for family games night!
The dining table will seat 6 comfortably for meal times and patio doors lead out to the enclosed garden.

The kitchen is fully equipped and makes preparing anything from a light lunch to full evening meal a breeze!

The main bathroom is large and boasts a bath & separate shower and is the perfect space for a long soak after a busy day exploring our gorgeous region.

For convenience there is also a separate cloakroom with WC & basin.

OUTSIDE SPACE

The sitting room patio doors lead out to a gorgeous mature garden with multiple seating areas and feature pond.
Relax with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine in this private, enclosed space and let the stresses & strains of everyday life drift away as you are entertained by the visiting local bird & wildlife.

THE AREA

Rockcliffe is one of a string of villages along the Solway Coast. Known as the 'Scottish Riviera' it boasts some of the most expensive properties in the region!

There are fantastic coastal and forest walking opportunities with the Kippford to Rockcliffe round trip taking around 1.5 to 2 hours and offers incredible views.

For Golfers there is Craigieknowes Golf Course, a scenic 9 hole, par 3 course or Colvend Golf course, both only minutes from the property.

In addition the championship grade links course at Southerness is only 20 minutes away.

Dumfries and Galloway is a cyclist’s paradise. You can Ride the Coast, Ride the Uplands, Ride the South Coast 200 or choose Day Rides.

Dalbeattie Forest is one of the 7stanes cycling trails and in all there are over 17km of cycling trails linking Dalbeattie to Colvend, Sandyhills and Kippford.

Kippford has two fantastic restaurants at local hotels The Mariner & The Anchor which offer a wide menu from traditional pub food to seafood specials and the nearby Clonyard Hotel offers fantastic options for dining out.

Rockcliffe beach is of course within walking distance of the cottage and is a great adventure for children as they discover the rockpools and local sea life, a short drive away you will also find Sandy Hills beach, with it's long stretch of golden sands this is one of the most popular beaches with the locals of Dumfries & Galloway.

The online verification process requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once verification is successfully completed, the check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
