About this space
Soak up the incredible views at this stunning, spacious lodge, set in the hills of Kippford within the award winning Coastal Kippford park.

Sleeping up to 6 guests the lodge is both large but welcoming, fully equipped and with everything you could need for a relaxing stay.

Kippford (also known as the Scottish Riviera) is known for its stunning scenery, woodland walks and local wildlife and visitors return year after year as they fall in love with the area.

The space
THE LODGE

Arrive at the lodge to be greeted by a light, bright and spacious open plan living space.

Firstly the kitchen, with ample worktop space, American style fridge, large hob and breakfast bar there is enough space and equipment for even the most demanding chef! The open plan design makes preparing a light lunch or full evening meal a breeze and you won't miss out on all the family fun.

The dining table seats 6 comfortably and the sitting area is the perfect space for a relaxing evening in front of the TV after a full day exploring everything our beautiful region has to offer. The spacious layout, comfortable sofa and multiple seating options also mean there is plenty of room for family games night!
The large glass wall and sliding patio doors make the most of the simply stunning views out to the hills and countryside beyond.

Move through the hallway to find a spacious double bedroom with super comfortable bed, large walk in wardrobe and Smart TV, this room also boasts it's own en-suite shower room.

The second bedroom has 2 single beds and is also a good size room with hanging rail for clothes storage.

The main bathroom has both a bath and shower and is the ideal spot for a long soak after a day walking in our beautiful countryside.

Guests 5 & 6 would sleep on the surprisingly comfortable double sofa bed in the main sitting area.

OUTSIDE SPACE

The sitting room patio doors open out to a large decking area that spans the width and length of the lodge.
Enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine whilst taking in the spectacular view, a real 'good for the soul' experience and not doubt you will make friends with the local bird and wildlife.

THE AREA

Kippford is a beautiful and picturesque village which is often visited by the local people of Dumfries & Galloway itself. A popular sailing village, small yachts are often moored in the estuary and the Solway Yacht Club often holds sailing events.

Known as the 'Scottish Riviera' it boasts some of the most expensive properties in the region!

There are fantastic coastal and forest walking opportunities with the Kippford to Rockcliffe round trip taking around 1.5 to 2 hours and offers incredible views.

For Golfers there is Craigieknowes Golf Course, a scenic 9 hole, par 3 course or Colvend Golf course, both only minutes from the property.

In addition the championship grade links course at Southerness is only 20 minutes away.

Dumfries and Galloway is a cyclist’s paradise. You can Ride the Coast, Ride the Uplands, Ride the South Coast 200 or choose Day Rides.

Dalbeattie Forest is one of the 7stanes cycling trails and in all there are over 17km of cycling trails linking Dalbeattie to Colvend, Sandyhills and Kippford.

Kippford has two fantastic restaurants at local hotels The Mariner & The Anchor which offer a wide menu from traditional pub food to seafood specials.

With the location, the views and the general feeling of wellness the property promotes we are sure you will wish to return time and again, we can't wait to welcome you!

Guests will have access to the entire property and decking area.

Other things to note
Due to multiple steps up to the lodge it may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility.

Pets are welcome (maximum of 2 well behaved dogs) at an additional charge of £30 total, please advise at time of booking if you plan to bring along your furry friend/s.

Pass the Keys® provide a fantastic standard of service for short-let properties like mine meaning my home is professionally managed. Stay with the peace of mind that comes from a property which has been professionally cleaned and all supplied linen & toiletries are of hotel quality. Also provided is 24/7 guest support before and during your stay.

The local community-based team of Pass the Keys® personally inspects each home to certify they have met with the Pass the Keys® Property Readiness Standard.

* Please note there is a BBQ available for guest use, please ensure that this is cleaned thoroughly after use ready and in a suitable state for next guests, there will be a £30 additional cleaning charge if this is not cleaned.
* Please advise us at time of booking if you are bringing pets, there is an additional cleaning charge of £30 for pets, if not declared/paid for prior to your stay the fee will be charged after your departure.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys we require guest verification, which is provided by Superhog. Upon confirming your booking, Superhog will reach out to the lead booker through a secure link, providing detailed instructions for verification.

The online verification process requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once verification is successfully completed, the check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
