Honest Review of Mercure Hotel bana hills 👎
I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel Bana hills and unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. The check-in process was frustrating, as we were passed around between hotel staff with little guidance or assistance. This lack of direction continued when we were sent to the Sunworld cable car, where we were unexpectedly yelled at by a staff member (which I understand is not part of the hotel, but still left a negative impression). Once on the cable car, we were not provided with any instructions or follow-up, leaving us feeling uncertain and unprepared.
Upon arrival in our room, I found it to be underwhelming. There was visible mold in the shower, which is a concerning cleanliness issue. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that basic amenities, like mineral water, are not provided as part of the stay and come at an additional charge. This seems like a standard offering in most hotels, so I found this policy frustrating.
The rooms are also not soundproof, which made for a less restful stay, as outside noise was easily heard. As for the buffet breakfast, it lacked variety, and after five days, the offerings remained exactly the same each morning, which felt repetitive and unappetizing.
Overall, this experience fell short of what I expected, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my stay. There were several areas, including service, cleanliness, and amenities, that need significant improvement.
