Charming, Eco-Friendly Cabin Retreat, Heart of Deep Creek

Our cabin is a charming retreat in a native woodland setting. It's in the heart of Deep Creek Lake, offering recreational activities year round. Wisp Ski Resort is 3 miles and the lake is a short stroll away. Stay at our cozy hideaway under the stars. In winter you'll find a snow filled wonderland as you relax by the crackling fire. Spring, summer or fall take a swim, explore nature or go boating. Go to the nearby cafe or stay and have cappuccino on the deck. Take a day trip to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater. Our cabin is an accommodating, truly hip, cozy getaway for families and singles. It's the place for a wonderful healthy break at an affordable price.

We will continue to make changes to the property in keeping with a greener world. We would appreciate your insights in creating a 'greener' cabin as well. Here's to a healthy body, mind, planet and lifestyle. We look forward to sharing our cabin retreat with you.


Eco Friendly Living: It's our goal to have the cabin completely renewable(green)and self sufficient, as soon as technology and financing allows. Currently we have used eco-paints that do not emit harmful gases. We've furnished the cabin using Craig's list which means most everything is recycled at least one generation. We use renewable products and recycle whenever possible. Water is renewably drawn from our well and heat is enhanced by the fireplace. Safe keyless entry!

Cozy weekend
Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Located very close to wisp resort. The hot tub was the a great touch to all the snow we received. The cabin gave a very cozy feel and accommodated all our needs. I was really excited to use the outdoor fire pit, and it appeared to be an excellent evening spot to enjoy some wine or roast marshmallows, but unfortunately due to all the snow we were unable to use it this time. Will be back!

Cozy Holiday Getaway
This cozy cabin has it all! Great location near all area attractions, well appointed kitchen and stocked essentials, and an amazing deck/hot tub/fire pit area. We loved being nestled in the woods, relaxing in the cabin, and trying out local places to eat. Plenty of room for the five of us (including a toddler), with comfortable furnishings. If you want a clean, quiet, and relaxing stay, and a host who truly cares about their property and guests, this place is for you!

Perfection in a cabin
Starting with the most amazing communication from our host Dale to the cleanest most equipped cabin full of games beautiful rustic lighting extremely cozy and did I say clean very clean and organized. My big family and I created the most amazing memories that will last a lifetime. I can not wait to visit again.

Our family trip
Our family trip this year by far has been my favorite because of this wonderful cabin. The most perfect setting while it was snowing and being able to enjoy the place entirely. My family really enjoyed our short stay. Owners are so kind and very helpful whenever I reached out. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway.

We had such a fun and comfy stay at Dale's place! She is a great host and the cabin is so full of character, with tons of games, books and movies available for use. The place was spotless and the kitchen and pantry were both fully stocked with pretty much any item you could need (even marshmallows to toast over the firepit!). Super cute and very warm and cozy - it has a secluded feel to it, yet is very close to many activities. My kids absolutely loved it. This one is for sure a keeper...we will be back. Thanks for your hospitality, Dale!

Restful Retreat (November 8-10)
Our group of 4 had a very relaxing and comfortable stay in the Charming Cabin! The detail of decor and lighting lent to the cozy cabin feel. We thoroughly enjoyed cooking meals in the fully-stocked kitchen while a cozy fire crackled in the fireplace. The backyard fire pit and seating area was perfect! Located very close to shops and restaurants, yet private and wooded for a great feel of escaping into the woods! Dale & Sean provided so many great recommendations, which helped us to get the most from our stay. What a gorgeous hike! We ended a long day of exploring roasting marshmallows around the campfire followed by a relaxing soak in the hot tub. It was a wonderful stay and we plan to return, both separately and with our families. Thank you, Dale & Sean, for your lovely accommodations!

Perfect long weekend
The cabin was perfect for our 3 night stay (me, my three boys and my friend). Bedrooms and bathroom's were lovely and clean. The bed I slept in was very comfortable. Our booking was not working at first and the host was very helpful, great communication. We LOVED the backyard. The porch was so cozy and my boys had fun playing on the rocks. We had breakfast on the porch each morning. We had a long day fire and dinner over the fire pit one day which was so fun!! The location is great and easy to find your way around!

Good times!
Always a great time! Dale the hist always does a great job! Cabin is just rught for our needs. More traffic going by the house this year verse last year, along with dry conditions made for more dust when hanging out outside. But that is our only complaint.

AMAZING place!
This property exceeded our expectations. Me and a couple friends decided to have a girls trip in deep creek. this place was the perfect place! it was beautiful, private, and clean. The AC and temp in the place was great, no issues with electricity, water heaters, or hot tub. Everything was so clean and nice! Owners are extremely responsive and kind, sent so many good recommendations, and always answered every question! This place was perfect. We had a group of 5, and i feel that’s the perfect amount. we never used to sofa bed, so I think 8 people is the perfect amount if you use all the beds! This place was so perfect!

Cozy cabin for a winter getaway
My family loved this cozy cabin near Deep Creek Lake. The kitchen was well stocked, the cabin was clean and comfortable. Dale sent so much helpful information to make our stay was easy . We went for a winter skiing and tubing adventure and it snowed all weekend. Perfect! The man that plowed the neighborhood was right on top of it so we had no problems at all getting around.

Cozy getaway
The property is beautiful! Beds were comfy and the kitchen well stocked. We ended up snowed in for the day we were there but the fireplace kept us cozy. One issue we had was getting up the driveway. The driveway incline was a bit much for my minivan but, it was icy. We ended up making it up and then discovered a flat tire (obviously not the fault of the hosts to be clea) and had to wait because of the snowy and icy weather. The host, Dale, was so kind and responsive to our messages. They even offered to let us stay another night since we were having trouble getting out. Despite our troubles, the cabin was a wonderful place to be snowed in at.

The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
Good: The host Dale was easy to reach. She tried to help us when we couldn't get the keypad door to lock when we wanted to leave. The floors and countertops seemed clean. Nice area. Bad: The back of the couch frame was busted, the shower is old, only one shower upstairs for the two main rooms, the walls are thin and you can hear everything in the next rooms and bathroom. We often used the downstairs bathroom for privacy. The deck outside is very slippery when wet. The jacuzzi panel was upside down, which we were notified of this but... why. Ugly: The heating sensors must not be working. We turned the thermostats up to 70 degrees and we cooked! Had to turn everything down to 50/55F. The floor heaters got so hot they were glowing red. My husband burnt his hand reaching down to grab his sock. The headboard for the beds upstairs is fabric, which is fine if cleaned. When I moved the pillow down from the left side there was a clear yellow stain on the headboard of the kind bed. It made me feel as though everything else was dirty. I don't know where all the good reviews came from but for the price we paid to not have the place upkept is ridiculous. Don't appreciate needing to have to worry about turning on and off breaker switches, leaving dehumidifiers on or off, and washing dishes. How do I know the glasses were cleaned right (or at all) by the last person?? Also, not sure why it's listed as eco friendly.

We had wonderful weekend getaway to this cute cabin at DCL. The host was so accommodating and communicative. The cabin was warm and the backyard area was magical with the lights, firepit, and hot tub. We enjoyed hiking in Swallow Falls and great food at Fire Water! Will definitely go back!

Fall escape
Timing was perfect, grounds were carpeted with colorful leaves. Cabin is warm and cozy. Just off the main road, yet you feel buried in the woods....minutes from everything. Communications were above and beyond, directions on what is where in the house, suggestions of places to go, eat, do, etc........Great experience, great weekend. We were sorry it had to end.
