My husband and I made a whirlwind trip from PA to Virginia to visit his mother after her hospice nurse contacted us to report she was not doing well. Her home is only 12 minutes from the cottage. This had the potential of being a very stressful time, but it turned out to be a very good trip. We had a good visit with my husband's mother. "The cottage was a perfect getaway! The cottage itself was so clean, perfectly decorated, and stocked with anything we could possibly need (soap, laundry detergent, pots/pans, towels, coffee...etc). We felt at home the moment we arrived. The grounds are beautiful and the outdoor space was very well-kept...we especially loved the hot tub! We couldn't recommend this cottage more - especially anyone looking for a refreshing getaway with friends/family. We hope to visit again :) "

"This is a hidden gem in a convenient location near a winery and historical attractions. Definitely for a nature lover! No frills or fuss-just a cool place with nice amenities. The Jefferson dwelling is not for tall people as the ceiling is low. The host is hospitable and the place is very clean."
