"There was only one full bathroom. Not 2 as stated on website. 2nd bathroom was only a toilet and wash hand basin We were up to 5 women on some days, not the best situation but we did manage. "

"The location of the property is a bit tricky to fund but its worth the drive as it's set up overlooking Loch Tay surrounded by sheep farm and mountains. The chalet had everything we needed for our 2 nights. Beds were very comfy! We enjoyed the long walk to the beach, very Scottish, very magical!"

"Stunning location for a relaxing holiday. Spent a week here with 2 children (ages 6 and 2) and had a great time. Safe outdoor space for the children to play in and they loved feeding the owner's chickens nearby. 5 minute walk to a pebbled beach which was ideal for tiring them out in the evening. Lots to do locally and further afield in Oban. The cabin is clean, with everything you would need for a weeks stay."

"This is a wonderful place and a wonderful lodge. Manager/Owner Cameron was very welcoming and supportive. The lodge is very well maintained and equipped. Many lovely details, including a busy bird feeder on the porch. Free kajaks. We will be back. But: You need a car for this location. We were travelling by train. The place is approx 4 km from Crianlarich station and from the local Londis store, and shopping etc was difficult."

"Booked on vrbo host came to see us not long after check in and said we had got a bargain seemed annoyed told us what we should have paid and then told what we paid . we paid what it came up online so we hadn’t done anything wrong .we are angry at this as the couple travelling with us we had bought for their anniversary gift and Cameron wasted no time in stating price of trip which was very unprofessional. "We had a great time in this lovely Cottage. We loved to watch birds and squirrels on our balcony. We enjoyed playing with the owner´s dog Ralph and canoeing on the loch. Portnellan is a great starting Point to reach almost every destination in the Highlands. Our tip for families ist to do the GoApe treetop challenge in Aberfoyle. Enjoy your stay, we did it."

"The situation of the lodge is stunning, with rowan trees around the property. The weather wasn't good during our stay, but we didn't have to move from the sofa to get spectacular views out of the windows! There was a selection of books to read, which I made use of. The beds were very comfortable & the heating system was easy to use, except for the fact that the heating controls in the bathrooms were at floor level. "Wij hebben heel erg genoten van ons verblijf. De vakantiewoning was picobello, met een panoramisch zicht op de indrukwekkende natuur. De gastheer Cameron zorgde voor een warm onthaal en verstrekte ons meer dan voldoende informatie. Het verblijf in Portnellan (chalet Pinemarten) is een absolute aanrader!"

"Rooms were clean and comfortable, hot tub was great. Lack of resources to contact or text the property manager when we couldn’t get the front door to lock the first night or when the WiFi went down for nearly a day. No instructions on how to operate foreign appliances! The washer/dryer in the unit never got hot enough to dry my clothing so I ended up using the towel warmer. It took me over 9 hours to get two very small loads of laundry done."
