"The Bothy is a great find. Intimate space ideal for a couple that would suit a small family too. Bothy was spotless. Some nice walks nearby and interesting spots a short drive away. The hot tub is really welcoming on a cold evening."

"Love love love! Dec-2018: Stayed for 2-nts with the family (6 adults and 5 (all under 9yrs) children) and loved the location, space and freedom that Cumnock Knowes afforded us. You can't miss the property as it stands proud on the horizon as you drive south, out of Carsphairn. The woodland that has been removed from around the house would have offered some protection from the elements, but the views from every window were fantastic - hopefully replanting is in the plans for the future. "Having stayed in Wanlockhead for a week at the end of June 2021, this property seemed like an ideal overnight stay during a house move from the the South Coast to Aberdeen. Within easy distance of the M74 and very peaceful. Loved the bold décor. Excellent nights rest , the downstairs bed was very comfortable and the property spotlessly clean."

"Caravan was comfortable and was OK for the couple of nights we stayed However some half used items of food had been left in the fridge and the furnishings were a little worn. Caravan and bed were creaky although this was mainly down to the high winds the weekend we were there."

"My wife, daughter and dog Pumpkin had a wonderful stay at the Bothy. Karen was the perfect host, loved Pumpkin and had thought of everything to make our stay a perfect. The Bothy is located on the edge of beautifully secluded woodland and yet just moments from Moffat and transport. My only complaint is that I didn’t decide to stay here for our holiday rather than continuing up the road. We will be back! Thank you Karen, see you next year :) "

"This is a fantastic cottage in an adorable village. It has rolling hills, a burn and lots of sheep! The cottage itself was quite large and was fit for our family of 6, including adult children and their spouses. It was clean, decorated well and rather comfortable. There are amenities within walking distance such as a pub, museum, etc. We wished we had stayed longer and we'll definitely return!"
