The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Jet noise ruined our vacation!
This is a five star home with 5 star views and amenities. We were blown away with the beauty surrounding us . Then the jets started practicing their touch and go training at nearby OLF. Starting at 7pm the first night Navy “Growlers” flew directly over the property hundreds of times about 300 feet above us. You could almost see the pilots in the cockpits-they were that low. The noise was deafening. We spent 3 hours covering our ears and cowering with each fly by. My dogs were going crazy, my children were crying and unable to sleep. The training lasted until just past 10pm that night. My husband and I thought surely they wouldn’t practice 2 nights in a row, but we were wrong. The second night, training went from 7-11pm. By 9pm that night we decided we had to leave. We packed up the next morning and abandoned our last three nights of our one and only vacation. Nowhere in the VRBO description of this property does it mention the severity of jet noise. This is unacceptable. We are no strangers to Whidbey, and the Naval presence there, but have never been directly in a jet flight path like we were at this property. The description of this property needs a huge disclaimer about the noise. If you’re lucky enough to book on a non training week, this house would be heavenly. Unfortunately, the Navy doesn’t post its schedules far enough in advance. We were robbed of our vacation. Thankfully we we’re reimbursed for a small amount of our payment, but our disappointment remains.

Overall review of stay
I had no issue with the cleanliness or the location or the ease of entering the home. I was taken back when I walked into the livingroom and saw the severely torn screen on the sliding glass doors leading to the deck. It appeared a dog had tryied to get into the house and ripped the screen as well as in the master bedroom. One of the decision makers to rent this VRBO home was the hot tub. My family was grieving my mother's death, & we wanted a place where we could just decompress. Instead the first night we noted the hot tub was half full and barely warm. The 2nd night we purposely went to the hot tub at the end of our day, and found the same issue, filled up the hot tub with the outside hose that was slow running and the hot tub was lukewarm at 77 degrees, no manual was provided. It did not get past 84 degrees. I called the VRBO contact & was told there was nothing they could do that night. We were appalled at the lack of understanding & was told no one could come to the house that night. I explained that was the deciding factor that caused us to rent at this VRBO. I called first thing in the morning & was told they would TRY to get someone out there that morning. I asked for an estimated time as I was leaving for family mtg & was told they could refund me $20/day for this mtr. No refund has been received to date. I EXPECT A REFUND. I'm sorry this was my1st encounter w/ VRBO. Chris, maintenance guy did come & was aware there was a leak in hot tub & aware of screens.

Nicely updated, and accommodations very clean. Enjoyed the hot tub and view, and walks to the beach. Kitchen stocked nicely, and loved that they had a dog bed, bowl, and doggy bags. We had a terrific stay! Thank you

Peaceful Palace
Beautiful and peaceful, enjoyed it very much. Only downside is there was a lot of dog hair on the floor, couch, and bed spread from what I am assuming the previous tenants. I didn’t feel comfortable sitting on the couch.

Great getaway!
We had a wonderful time on whidbey. The house is well appointed, with comfortable furnishings. We loved the back yard and hot tub, and saw lots of deer in the neighborhood. Coupeville was close by with great dining options. We would definitely come back!

Very cute stay and great views!
We enjoyed the stay, everything was fantastic and we really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, sitting in the hot tub, and having a great yard for the dog to run in. The only thing that could be improved is the mattresses were not very comfortable and could be upgraded. Otherwise, thank you for the hospitality!

Nice spot, items from previous visitors left in one bathroom. Rugs need cleaning. Many doggy accident/stains on 2 carpets (smaller bedroom) and living room carpet. Would be nice to have a few more supplies or have it noted there is not foul/baggies & such. Other than those small things, it was a lovely quiet getaway and the home is quite comfortable in a great spot. Can’t really beat the view.

The house was great. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and has a good location. The yard was pleasant and our dog loved it. The only trouble we had was that the keypad was very difficult to operate and the code was unnecessarily long and cumbersome.

Relaxing stay near Coupeville
This was a really comfortable, spacious house for our family of three, with a well-maintained hot tub and large fenced backyard for our dog. The view is beautiful and being able to use the local pool was a plus!

110 decibel jets flying overhead past 11pm
This property is DIRECTLY under the flight path for Navy fighter jet practice flights landing at OLF Coupeville (1.2 miles away from the house). We were scheduled to stay here for two nights but at 11 PM on the first night with fighter jets (EA18-G Growlers) flying 200-300 ft above our heads, and scheduled flights for the next 4 nights, we made the decision to not stay our second night in this house. Navy jets flew overhead from 7:30 – 8 PM, 9:05 – 9:35 PM and again from 10:20 – 11:05 PM. The jets fly circles overhead and zoom by every 35 – 45 seconds. A free decibel meter app on my phone measured109.5 decibels. It is so loud that you cannot have a conversation inside. Good luck trying to get young children to bed! Dogs would be losing their mind. You are really gambling with an unpleasant stay if you stay here. The Navy only publishes their Coupeville flight schedules one week in advance and with Vacasa’s no refund policy within 2 weeks of your stay, you may be paying full price for a very, very loud stay. The house itself is nice, and the view is incredible. But the jet noise is a total deal breaker. Vacasa needs to make it very clear in the listing that this house is directly under the flight path of Navy training flights and that the noise level is very significant. When I contacted Vacasa and asked for a refund for the second night, they told me "jet noise is not a part of the house" and didn't acknowledge my calls to be clear about the noise in the description.

Great property, had a great stay. Could have used some guidance on: TV/streaming options (how to watch live sports if possible), how to work the thermostat/AC. Also would have been good to have a dish drainboard for the hand washed kitchen stuff. Minimal things, though. Overall it was great and we would stay here again.

Peaceful getaway
Beautiful comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. View of the sound and mountains, plus the chirping of birds was my favorite thing. Great location and only a short ride to the main area of Coupville. A couple of screens on sliding doors need replacing, and the master bathroom sink was sluggish and can use a good drain cleaning. Otherwise it was a perfect place to chill out.

Fantastic in all the ways!
The house is wonderful! Clean, beautifully open and bright. View view view! Amazing light & calm environment. Loved the decor and simplicity. Having a fully enclosed yard for dog is really amazing! (Just found that my dog could scoot under hot tub area and completely under the enclosed deck which caused a bit of a challenge) so covering that would make this place even better for dog owners (which would be outstanding b/c it’s really already that great). Hot tub was a real bonus. Loved the neighborhood for walks & beach access. Am absolutely coming back. Fantastic for quiet work getaway also! Thank you!

Wonderful home, beautiful view
I stayed here with 3 kids/teens for a short vacation to explore Whidbey. What a wonderful house, clean, quiet (I was sad I never heard the jets mentioned in other posts), well stocked (lots of pans and dishes etc). The hot tub was wonderful although cover needs replacing. Lots of bugs so bring bug spray. We played in backyard often at night and enjoyed the yard game and fire pit. Location perfect- private pool and beach are incredible including a great old school playground. Just a few minutes from coupeville downtown area, amazing food and shops, and also from nearby state parks. We took the Clinton ferry home and got on the first boat by arriving by 9am. Highly recommended!

A Great Place To Stay!
This is a great place to stay. There’s an incredible view of Admiralty Bay from the living room, dining room, kitchen, back deck, and hot tub. There’s a nice fire pit in the back yard. The large yard and front and back deck is fully fenced making it great for those traveling with dogs or children. The TV has streaming of Netflix and other media and is easy to use. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has all the basics, but if you have a favorite pan for cooking you may want to bring it. Bring extra dish detergent, kitchen trash bags, and paper towels, too. The place was very clean overall, but one of the bathroom rugs and tub could have been cleaner. The location is fantastic! There’s a great beach nearby that is perfect for dogs, kids, long walks, kayaking, etc. There are many amazing parks, beaches, and scenic sites to see within a short drive. If you are wondering if Whidbey Island is a good travel destination, you will find that it is one of the best destinations in all of Washington!
