"We chose this hotel for its convenience to Vassar College for a visit and it proved to be convenient, comfortable, and affordable. Special appreciation to the night desk clerk who, when I asked if there was a place we could purchase a phone charger because my son had forgotten to bring his, told us that places were closed but quickly offered to loan us one from the front desk."

"The apartment was great. The location was perfect for some local hiking. Parking was available in the back of the house. The owner lives on the first floor. To have a good check-in experience, make sure you visit his rental website to reply to check-in questions - replying to emails from that website will not reach him. The owner is not necessarily on the property during check-in hours and needs to know your planned arrival time. "

"The Doubletree is an excellent option for anyone interested in staying in downtown Poughkeepsie. I have stayed there on three different occasions in the last three months, each time for several days,and have always had a good experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the parking is free, access is convenient, there are great restaurants within a short walk, and it is only a short walk to the Poughkeepsie Bridge State Park, which is spectacular.
