"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There is so much history in the home. The front porch was amazing with the rocking chairs. The beds were so comfortable. The living space is large and we had plenty of room to spread out. One of our favorite spots was the fire pit. We saw deer and the longhorns were gorgeous. We also had a great time in Columbus and can highly recommend the food and shopping there. Great vacation retreat. Host was exceptional also "

"Myself & mom choose this place because of closeness to relatives we were visiting. The home was very clean, queen bed comfy. Mom slept in bunk, which is really meant for kids, but she's short so it worked. If you plan to cook, there is only 1 fry pan, 1 sauce pan, 1 cookie sheet & 1 spatula. There are no sharp knives, only 2 butter knives & 4-6 spoons & forks. No baking dishes & only 1 hot pad. No toaster & a mini microwave. "The house fit our group of 12 great. The pool provided endless fun for the kiddos while the pool table kept the teens and adult family members with things to do while we enjoyed the down town of exploring Houston. Mario our host was quick to answer any questions we had and the neighborhood was great. The house was less than 5 minutes from I10 and any major store you would need (i.e. Walmart, Target, TJ Maxx). "This home is amazing! The pictures do not do it justice! It is spacious, impeccably clean, and filled with history and beautiful decor. If you are an antique junkie like me this is your place. I had as much fun looking at all the decor and reading about the house and its family as I did junking! I will definitely be back."
