Make some memories at this 1886 historic home located in the heart of Columbus. We as a family have had the privilege of restoring this Victorian era home and are excited to share it with others.
We have created an inviting space to welcome guests of all ages. With the historic charm paired with outdoor play sets we hope you will find our home welcoming for families and friends.
The large front porch is waiting for you to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of while watching the world go by.
The space
The Boxwood Bungalow is a historic. Victorian era home built in 1886 and listed on the Texas historical home registry list. Our 1600 square-foot home boasts original restored wood floors, intricate wood details in every room, and also a warmth and welcoming spirit. The home is furnished with a Victorian BoHo style, so that guests feel comfortable, but also get to have a special experience.
Having the opportunity to curate and decorate, this home was truly a privilege. We wanted to honor the era, but also maintain comfort in every amenity that helps guests like they are at home.
Our home sits on a little over half an acre and has a MASSIVE front porch just waiting for a relaxing moment. The backyard is stocked with a play-set, outdoor dining area and sitting area with a pergola. The yard is massive and extends all the way to the back fence and all around the south side.
Perfectly located only two blocks away from the main square we are a perfect location for a quick walk to the local brewery, the ice cream store, burger joint or boutique stores.
Columbus itself is a warm, inviting, historical and cultural town. We wanted our home to reflect that vibe. Whether you are traveling here on a girls trip for antiquing, or perhaps visiting the area for a wedding, and maybe even have brought the kids down to enjoy Splashway; our home is welcoming for all guests, all ages, and we hope that our guest leave feeling the love and time we have invested into this house.
