Cabin close to Manitou Springs/Garden of the Gods

Summary:
Colorado at its best, our historic cabin is perfect for those looking to experience relaxing cabin lodging while still being close to downtown Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak and more! With an open floor plan and bedrooms on 2 levels, you'll have enough space to spread out with family or friends. After a day of water rafting or hiking, head back to the cabin and enjoy the views and hot-tub on our large patio deck!

The Space:
Inside:
Upon entering, you'll immediately feel right at home! With 2 sitting rooms with TV's, a large kitchen, and 4 bedrooms/3 baths, you'll have everything you need to nestle up and enjoy all that cabin life has to offer. Every bed is equipped with Casper pillows for ultimate comfort and luxurious sleep. The master bedroom has an ensuite, claw bathtub and bathroom, beautiful wood and tile work and views of the property. Feeling like relaxing? Use the guest steam shower, great for after those long outdoor adventures! The kids room has 3 twin beds and a TV making it fun for the young ones to make memories of their travels. Our main level bedroom has a designated desk area, great for those working while traveling.
Outside:
Enjoy the views on our patio deck with brand new whirl pool hot-tub. Relax outside and enjoy the hot-tub under under the stars year round!

- Drive a 10 minute beautiful drive through the red rocks to Downtown Manitou Springs.
- 15 minute drive to Garden of the Gods
- 55 minutes to Pikes Peak
- 20 minutes to Colorado Springs
- 30 minutes to Seven Falls
- 15 minutes to Cog Railway

Guest Access:
Guest will have full access to the cabin. Self Check-in instructions will be sent 48 hours before your stay.

Getting Around:
We recommend AWD or 4WD in the snowy months.

Other Things to Note:
If it snows during your stay guests may need to shovel the deck to clear a path. The steps to access the rental are steep and can be slick at times. Please use the snow salt. If roads are open and you can't make it to the rental no refunds will be issued.

Pets are allowed. We charge a $150 non-refundable pet accommodation fare during your stay. Please inquire about multiple pets or a multiple month stay.

HOT TUB
Our hot tub servicer rotates the service day. There is a chance the hot tub will be serviced during your stay. When the water is changed, it takes 12-24 hours for the water to reheat. If this occurs during your stay, we cannot guarantee the hot tub will reach the desired temperature at that time. Hot tub rules posted at the property. If our hot tub rules are not followed and a water change is needed due to mistreatment of the tub, we will charge a $150 change fee.

PARTIES OR EVENTS
There are no parties or events allowed at the rental.
Maximum occupancy is 9 guests.

If house rules are broken we reserve the right to withhold your security deposit and/or cancel your reservation.

CHILDPROOFING
Guest understands that no special efforts have been made to “childproof” this house and accepts the risk or harm to any children/infants we allow on the property.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Due to the popular nature of our rental, WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE EARLY CHECK-INS AND LATE CHECK-OUTS. We need this small window of time in-between guests to prepare for your stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this awesome cabin. It was clean and lovely. To be honest, the only thing that I would mention is that the sofas in living area were very uncomfortable. We were cooking Thanksgiving Dinner and there were no cookie sheets and we could have used another large pot. The beds and pillows were very nice and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with our family in your cabin. Kitchen is very spacious!

The cabin is just outside of Manitou in Cascade. Its a great location for a weekend in the front range. It was nice having access to the carport with the hail that came through. The property is pretty steep and the yard is kept as "native". The kids enjoyed the swing. Overall the house was well kept and we would stay again.

Amazing!!!
Our experience in Colorado was the best vacation we have ever had. The beautiful, tranquil house is located in the perfect spot. Close to everything, but still in a quiet location with enough space to feel secluded away from the world. The house felt like home and we truly hated leaving. Equip with everything we needed. My teenagers spent most of the time outside on the swing, watching dear and throwing snowballs. The big porch was perfect for star gazing at night and naps in the warmth of the sun in the afternoon. Everything was about 15-20 minutes away. We explored the Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. All amazing tourist attractions for a family. The whole experience was Amazing!

Quaint/Quiet Retreat with a Few Hiccups
Nice rustic cabin that is a remodel of an older home so the layout of bedrooms and bathrooms is a bit odd. Kitchen was large with plenty of room and nice appliances (Samsung). House was clean and well-prepared with snacks, clean towels/linens, pots/pans/etc. Downsides was that the showers were very small and the downstairs shower did not drain so all of us had to use the upstairs one. No firewood provided so we were unable to use fireplace. Overall, a quaint and quiet property.

Birthday getaway
I took my wife out for an extended birthday weekend to this fantastic property. I would score this property a 4 out of 5 instead of a 5 out of 5 because there were a few items that could be improved. Let's start with the great things about the property. The kitchen was phenomenal. The pans, BBQ, Oven, Refrigerator, etc.. were all new. The hot tub was fantastic, when we took off the cover it was showing 105 and stayed around 103 - 104 with the cover off during use. The main shower was amazing, one of the two reasons we decided on the property (the other was the hot tub). It was very spacious, strong internet connection with no restrictions on streaming. It had one bedroom on the main floor, with the Master and another bedroom upstairs. I received the code to the door an hour before checking. The inside has a ton of natural light which is good but also a pain point. I loved that they had both dark grey and white towels. The only real issue I had with the property was privacy and lighting. All the windows (except the bedroom) have no blinds or curtains, just multiple large bay windows. The neighbors are less than 40' from you on both the West and East side. The lights on the deck automatically turn on when it gets dusk, they are so bright it's almost impossible to see the stars at night in the hot tub. They have skylights in the master bedroom, so be ready to wake up at 5 am during summer, because it's extremely bright (you'll need a mask to sleep in). Suggestions for Host: You have some extremely nice high-end appliances on your property. It was one of the things that attracted me to this property. But I also found it to be a slight pain point when I didn't know how to effectively use these appliances and there were no instructions or directions. (ie the stove and shower). Many people might not know how to use these appliances, so consider making a few quick how too, that can be laminated and placed near that appliance. I've seen that done at other properties and it's greatly appreciated. Also consider, adding a warning notice to the top of the stairs. There is a 1-inch difference between hardwood and the normal floor. If you don't pay attention you could tumble down the stairs.
