Our house, in which the apartment is located as a granny flat, is 1.6 km from the train station. Hope Valley away, from where you can drive to the cathedral or the fair in 25 minutes. It is located in a residential area on the edge of the forest, close to marked hiking trails. Bergisches Land offers great landscapes, good air, lots of activities and ... Close to town. The apartment invites you with beautiful light at any time of the day, underfloor heating, wooden floorboards and a box spring bed (160cm) for two. Great for couples and solo travelers. Two more people can be accommodated on a fold-out sofa.
The approximately 40 square meter apartment consists of a large bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with kitchenette and dining table and two connected rooms, between which there is no door. You enter through one of these rooms - there is also a large pull-out couch for two more people. The larger room has a bed, TV and chest of drawers. The rooms are very bright due to floor-to-ceiling windows and the (frosted glass) front door.
Since May 2018 there has been a beautiful sun terrace in front of the apartment, where you can enjoy warm summer evenings.
We are happy to be reached by mobile phone during your stay. The apartment is also part of our own house, so we (family with three children) will definitely meet outside. The apartment looks into our front yard and our street, a dead end street with little traffic.
Neighborhood / connection
Our street is just outside the village center of Hope Valley. It is very quiet here and really relaxed. You can park on the street in front of the house. The train station is 1.6 km away. Unfortunately there is no reliable connection to the apartment by buses. Collection is possible on request. It goes uphill to our street and especially to our house. The apartment is unfortunately not accessible.
Hope thal
Our place is one of three districts of Rösrath and the first village east of Cologne, where it gets nice mountainous. About 4,000 inhabitants live here, which are divided into the valley and the surrounding villages on the hills. There is a large outdoor pool, several very nice restaurants (Bagatelle, Lehmbacher Hof, Bleifelder Hof), a large supermarket, several bakers, some hairdressers, a bookstore, travel agencies, opticians, decorative shops, several bakers - just a little more than usual. And not entirely unimportant: Hopesthaler Bahnhof, which is connected with the RB 25 from Gummersbach to Cologne. Cologne / Bonn Airport is 20 km away and easily accessible by car and train (with a change).
