"Alyssia was excellent to deal with in booking Shrapnel's Retreat. The cottage was lovely. Clean and tidy. Had everything you needed in the kitchen. Shower nice and hot. Had a possum come to visit. Seen emus, kangaroos, blue wrens. The morning mist with birds chirping was heart warming. Plenty of blankets and quilts for those chilly nights. "Beautiful old timber mill house with clean modern conveniences. Manicured gardens, secure parking tucked away in a back lane. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. We organised facials/massages at the local salon, took the tram ride to the cascades and did the river cruise. Dinner at the pub. Friendly locals! It was a little awkward and off putting that the cleaners arrived at 9:55am (as we were packing the car) but they were friendly and patient. Thankyou for a cosy stay."
