"We have stayed in Sugar Mtn countless times over the decades, both in houses and condos, and we thoroughly enjoyed this round house. It was clean and well-stocked and having two toilets upstairs was nice. My husband and I (in our 60's) stayed in the basement in the bunk beds, a first, and we have never experienced a spiral staircase like that! For anyone very overweight or with bad knees, I would suggest you enter that room using the outside stairs from the deck and avoid the staircase. Despite...

"Overall decent little cabin location mared by storage units in front of the property, never mentioned in the ad. Was a little bit noiseyfrom the business. Overall cleanliness was good, check in and out was quick and easy. A leaf blower would have made his a literal home run but wasn’t horrible. The floors are part of the charm of an old cabin. "My Sons and I had a wonderful stay at “The Big Rock” property. We woke up to deer eating the crab apples every morning. The large rock is a perfect place to just sit and enjoy the pond and scenery. We caught plenty of bluegill and a few small bass in the pond. There was also a little pontoon and kayak the kids had a blast using. We will hopefully be returning soon. Lance was by far the best Host I have ever encountered. Anything we needed or any question were answered right away.."

"We traveled with some friends to Blowing Rock to celebrate my husband’s birthday. John was wonderful to work with! Very responsive and welcoming! We even had to go back to pick up an item we left behind and John was so easy to reach! The house was the perfect set up with plenty of space to spread out. The location was great. Very close to both Boone and Blowing Rock. I wish we could have stayed a few more days! We can’t wait to come back and visit again. "
