Spectacular Views, Hot Tub, Fishing And Room To Relax!

Cabin On The Lake is a cozy cabin nestled on 1.5 private acres and located on 100’ of Lake Livingston frontage with incredible sunrise and lake views. The acreage is partially cleared and partially wooded offering shady spots to enjoy the many outdoor activities readily available on the property. You can enjoy fishing off the bulkhead, swimming in the lake, water sports, as well as enjoy the spacious outdoors. Play horseshoes, toss a baseball, play Frisbee, set up a tent for the kids, ride your bikes, or simply lounge in the sun or the shade while relaxing over a cool beverage. The covered patio offers a shady spot with table & chairs. When the sun goes down take a dip in the large Hot Tub on the deck and enjoy a relaxing message while looking out at the lake.
General Information
The Cabin itself is a cozy 3 BR, 2 bath home featuring a master bath with double sinks and a walk-in closet, a large fireplace in the living room, a dining room with a fantastic view of the lake, a kitchen with all the required amenities including a convection oven, side by side refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and ample cabinet space. The laundry room is fully functional with washer & dryer units, the bathrooms offer a combination of tub and two showers, while the bedrooms offer Queen-size (2), Twin (2) and a day bed in the living room (twin size) to accommodate 7 guests comfortably.
Included with all the creature comforts for a relaxing vacation, standard technology is also available that offers Cable TV, wireless internet access and local phone service.

Great stay
This lake house is by the lake Livingston and has an amazing view. It's right beside the wolf creek park, where my kids love to play. Coldspring is a nice little town, and there are several nice diners. The house itself is very clean and well stocked. Some small things may need some maintenance, but they didn't impact our stay. Overall it was a great place to relax and rewind. We really loved it.

Great location on the lake
Great place to stay for some quiet time. Plenty of amenities and comforts located in the home. I'd recommend rearranging the master so the bed is not shoved in the corner as this is unnecessary and cumbersome. There's plenty of room to even add a 2nd nightstand as well.

Quiet Lake Getaway
We were looking for a place directly on the lake in close proximity to where we have our annual July 4th celebration (we have been trying for 3 years!), Our parents own a place on the lake literally 1 street over so i have been trying for this one...i finally booked this one early (right after July 4 2022) and we are so glad we did. The view & convenience to parent's place was amazing...we could have kayaked over there. Unfortunately, we didn't have the annual July 4 celebration this year. We lost Dad June 30th😭. We were not sure we were able to make it to (or even wanted to) come. The owner was very receptive and communicated with us regularly when we were unsure of being able to come. They gave us a few options from which to choose since we were already past the cancel with refund date. But in the end, we opted to keep the reservation and we are so glad we did. It ended up being a much needed period of relaxation and reflection after caring for dad during his long debilitating illness. We even convinced Mom to come for 2 days, since they loved the lake so much. Property is so very quiet and beautiful. Even with neighbors around, you hardly notice them there. The house was clean and well stocked with kitchen items, bbq grill and supplies, wood for the firepit, and even had beach towels, toys, and games for the kids There were some adult games, but we didn't play them. Kayaks & life jackets provided too. Hot tub was so fun and amazing! Overall very nice place! Will return

Excellent Property
This is our second time to stay at this property and we will definitely be back. The house is great, the location on Lake Livingston is amazing, and with amenities like a hot tub, tandom kayaks, and a firepit, you cant go wrong here. The boys and I caught many small catfish and carp and had a fun and rrlqxing time while doing it. The owners are great and we really enjoyed our stay at their property. Thank you again for helping our family trip be a memorable one.

Nice relaxing few days in a great cabin!
Absolutely gorgeous area of Texas! The cabin was very comfortable, fully stocked with kitchen supplies, firewood, games(missing some pieces but the kids didn’t mind), kayaks, life jackets (for teens/adults) linens, everything you need for a getaway on the lake. We used the fire pit and hot tub everyday and the kids enjoyed taking the kayaks out. It was our four year olds favorite part! Will be back!

Great place
This house is soooo clean so relax so everything, it has everything you need, just get food and you will be all set . It has wood outside to cook out or for the fire pit , lake view is amazing nobody bother you and kids are so free to run outside ( we had a 3,4 and 7 year old in there and they were all so happy! More than enough towels, blankets, you feel so free to walk around with no shoes inside the house ( we are a family of no shoes inside the house ) We all loved the place and for sure will be coming back, communicating with the owner was very easy and the check out is just walking out of the house and letting them know we were leaving. There were some little spiders inside the house but it’s normal since there is so much h vegetation around it and we bought a off candle and set it next to the back door that way we will have the area some what bugs free when we go in and out. The best way to keep those bugs away is to have the light off I side the house when you are outside and you will have very few bugs trying to get in But other than that this place is great !!!!

Great property, but it took 45 minutes to get a hold of the host
We extended our stay for one more day, but the code did not get reset through the Vrbo system after the host extended the reservation. We were locked out of the place for almost an hour because it took 45 minutes to get a hold of the host. Vrbo tried contacting the host as well, and they provided me with his number. The host's excuse for hanging up right after answering my calls was because he was "in the middle of giving a presentation". I do not appreciate that the hospitality industry is turning into a side gig for out-of-touch aristocrats. I will probably never use Vrbo again, because I've had nothing but poor experiences with the hosts.

Great romantic getaway
We enjoyed the serene atmosphere. Very quite and peaceful. We wanted to fish but with the Texas drought that was impossible. The lake was completely dried up on our end.. Other than having the hopes of fishing , we enjoyed the hot tub (one of the few homes on a lake with a hot tub) and the atmosphere. We may rent again once the drought is over.

Had a great family fishing trip and I highly recommend. Its a Quiet,private,relaxing place to be to get away from the city and just have family time. House it very nice and clean and owners a great communication. Over all I recommend! Don't forget to try the barbecue places in the small town and the blue bell ice cream it's a must !

My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at this amazing property. Very clean, accommodating, and privacy made our time away together very special. I’m sure our kids would have loved all the room outside. The variety of games and comforts would have given them lots to choose from. The hot tub was perfectly located, easy to use, and a great view of the moon shining down on the water. A Very romantic get away or a nice family trip, this house is perfect for you. I can not say anything negative about it. We enjoyed it and it is a great place you can’t wait to get back to again.

"Paradise"
This place was amazing. We enjoyed it so much we will do it again. So peaceful and relaxing. The breeze off the lake and just the serenity of it all. Sunrise and sunsets are beautiful sitting on the benches at the water edge.

Great for swimming and fishing!
This is probably one of the cleanest properties I’ve been to. The location is amazing and is very peaceful and relaxing. The water is shallow and they have a ladder to help get down to swim. We had an amazing time swimming, fishing and relaxing. We will definitely stay in this house again in the future!

Beautiful setting
The trees and lake are beautiful and the house looks very inviting. When we got there we accidentally locked ourselves out because we locked the doorknob and that cannot be unlocked with the code (we thought maybe a little sign by the door or a keyless entry knob would be good for that). The owner responded quickly and patiently, as he had through the entire booking process and arrived in good humor to get us inside. We loved the patio and picnic benches for watching the lake. The house was very clean and had a well-stocked bathroom and kitchen. We used the grill and cooked all our meals in the kitchen, which was nicely organized. They provided all the barbecue tools and charcoal but we had already brought our own charcoal. The house is designed for maximizing the lake and tree views, so you could enjoy the views whether you were inside or outside. The town is very friendly and you can get everything you need at the local grocery store or general store. There were just a few things we noticed. We didn't use the patio furniture because the cushions were put in storage and didn't look clean. There were some cobwebs in a couple of the lower cabinets so we washed a few things before using them. We didn't use the hot tub, which looked great, because it maxed out at 100 degrees and we like it a bit hotter. That's just personal preference. It was a wonderfully relaxing stay with very gracious hosts who really care about your comfort.

Very nice house and roomy property. The house/kitchen was so well stocked we could have shown up with just clothes and some food. Fished, kayaked, grilled, enjoyed the hot tub, porch, and fire pit. We also enjoyed the peace and quite of the area. Great house!

Perfect place to relax
My husband and I traveled with one other couple-just needed a getaway for some R&R. House was spotless and had the most amazing view of the lake!! The house was well appointed with everything you need-couch was perfect for napping, beds were comfy, bathrooms had been updated and were very nice! Master was large and had a nice walk in closet, 2nd bedroom was very small however it worked, 3rd bedroom has a twin bed with a trundle and there is also a daybed in the living area. The patio is where we spent all of our time! Nice and comfortable patio furniture along with a table and chairs for 6. The fire pit made evening fun-we did s’mores and enjoyed the fire. The hosts supplied plenty of firewood! One of the main reasons we rented this property was because of the hot tub-it was a little disappointing. Water was murky and the headrests were peeling and would no longer attach to the tub. We did get in and did enjoy it however that experience could have been better. We did see an eagle on 2 different occasions-very exciting. We grilled on their charcoal grill and just had a great time-I am giving 5 stars because everything else was just perfect!
