Right on the water, this idyllic Cocolalla cabin provides the perfect retreat from daily life. The home's many windows overlook lovely views of Cocolalla Lake and the surrounding mountains. Pair your afternoon swimming and fishing sessions with delicious cookouts on the gas grill. Within minutes of your stay, you'll find a handful of convenience stores and local eateries. The area boasts no lack of gorgeous trailheads and lovely state parks.

After a day filled with brand-new adventures, cozy up on the living room's plush seating and put your favorite show on the large smart TV. Steps from here, the sunroom is ideal for reading sessions and pleasant afternoon conversations. Well-equipped for mealtime masterpieces, the kitchen presents stainless steel appliances and ample meal prep space.

As you explore the rest of the cabin, you'll find four bedrooms, all cooled by central air. Additional interior features you'll love include smart TVs throughout, a Pack-N-Play, a private washer/dryer, and a fireplace.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We booked this accommodation expecting a luxurious stay, given the high price, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. I would rate it as below average considering the cost. First off, the room on the main floor was the only one that felt like a proper room. The other rooms were in the attic, and they were unbearably hot and suffocatingā€”definitely not comfortable. One of the rooms had a queen bed that was so cramped you could barely move to get to the other side. The two single beds were set up in a common area with no windows, and to access the bathroom or another room, you had to cross through this space, which meant zero privacy. Those sleeping in the common area were constantly disturbed. The air conditioning in the rooms was another huge issue. For the first two nights, the portable AC units were not working, and the heat was unbearable. While we were eventually able to get the AC running, it didnā€™t make up for the initial discomfort. There was also only one full bathroom for our group of 10, including kids. The second bathroom had no shower, which was frustrating. After just one or two people showered, the water temperature would drop to freezing cold, making it nearly impossible for everyone to get a comfortable shower. Managing with just one bathroom was a complete disaster. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we certainly wonā€™t be returning. For the price we paid, we expected a much better quality of accommodation.

Overpriced for this property

This property is in a beautiful location, but disappointing compared to other VRBO properties we have stayed in. Was dirty, dead flies all over the carpet and tables upon checkin, and generally dirty/dusty. The place was filled with flies throughout our stay. The owners said that nobody had stayed there since September, but maybe someone should have vacuumed/cleaned the dead flies up. The listing stated there was a fireplace, but it didn't work, which was disappointing since we stayed on Christmas and were hoping to have that going Christmas morning. The check in code that was sent to us by the property manager didn't work, and there also were some issues with plumbing. One of the toilets didn't work well and the water pressure was not great (due to it being on a well, according to the owners), one day we only got a trickle of water. The cookware provided is garbage, nonstick coating peeling off and should be replaced. The other thing is that you have to haul your garbage to the refuse disposal a few mies down the road, and even the refuse disposal gal said that for the price people pay for a VRBO, nobody should have to haul their garbage out. Generally disappointed with this property. We have stayed at many VRBO properties and have had much better experiences with cleaner, more updated properties. This one is way overpriced.

Fun stay

we chose this location for 2 reasons..we were going to go to Silverwood, and since this house was on a lake, we said we would bring our ski boat. I communicated with the owner about the lake, and she state they bring their boat a ski every year. Well, we could not put our boat in the water, the launch is so shallow, there was no way to get the boat in, we ended up driving up to Sandpoint and spending the day on Pendereille. We were all so sad, to say the least. The house did have many things to enjoy on the water, kayaks, and rafts and float, so it helped the sting a little, but it sure would have been nice to ski on the glass lake any time of the day. The only other issue we had was with the water. There were times that the water pressure was non existancant. We couldn't take showers or run the dishwasher, so I do not know what that was all about. Location to Silverwood was nice, so it was a good week, just wouldn't have pulled my boat 7 hours for nothing.

Fantastic week at the lake!!!

We headed to Cocolalla for a family week at the lake to close out summer and had an amazing time. The house was ideal for our family of 6 (could have comfortably fit more). The house was stocked with everything we needed, the lake was beautiful, the property was clean. We stay at VRBOs often and this was as good of an experience as have had at a property. We will be back!

Rest and Relaxation

A relaxing get-away to spend quality time with my family. Loved to sit in the sunroom and look out across the lake. The lake was never busy with boats. Would highly recommend to others.

Great spot for our large family

We had a family wedding near the lake and this was the perfect place as we had 14 people in our group. We paid the neighbor a little to let us park our trailer on his grass for our overflow guests. Water was great on a hot wedding weekend!

Home is great for large families and lake views are fantastic.

Bathrooms are sufficient but only 1 shower for what could be up to 12 sleeping guests. Kitchen is minimally equipped but sufficient. Otherwise a good value in a beautiful setting!

Great home for our family vacation

This home was a great place to have a get together with family. We had a wonderful time and the children had so much fun playing in the water. There are a few updates that could be made, and the property owner says they plan to make them soon. Overall, a great place to stay and a wonderful time!

Amazing family vacation

It was an amazing experience at the lake and in this beautiful lake house. We had a great time kayaking & canoeing, BBQ and late evening relaxing around the fire. The place is not too far from Silverwood theme park where we spent a day enjoying the rides with our kiddos.

The house was very accommodating for our family. Close to Sandpoint and to Silverwood. We actually caught several fish and had a fish fry. I do think it may be time to change out the mattresses. We enjoyed our stay it was fun šŸ¤©

Beautiful location!

The house was very clean and the views of the lake were fantastic. We were there in the winter. Half our group went skiing while half of us stayed in, doing puzzles and watching the lake ice over. All in all, a very restful stay!

Relaxing Stay

We had a fantastic time at Cocolalla! The property was even better than we expected. We were there for a soccer tournament with a few moms and12 year old boys. They loved exploring outside in the rain and watching movies. This is a great location close to Sandpoint and I would love to come back again with my family.

The house was great for our party of 7 with plenty of space. The kids had a wonderful time in the lake. The lake was nice and quiet with very little boat traffic. It was also a very scenic place to paddle board and kayak.

Last Summer Hurrah

Rustic cabin like feel. The house was clean I gave 3 stars because of the spiders and webs. Our family had a great time. The sun room overlooking the lake was a hit. Eagle sightings daily were a thrill. Being on the lake was magical. We had good communication with the owners, they were very helpful and responsive. Its a great place to feel like your really away, with a short drive to Sandpoint to eat dinner out or get groceries. It was hard to leave. My grandkids asked if we were going back in a couple of weeks.

Lakefront Living

We had a quiet time at this unique home with plenty of amenities. It was clean and safe. The neighbors were quiet and didnā€™t seem to mind temporary visitors. I like a very firm bed, so I slept on the wood floors and watched the sunrise everyday. We didnā€™t get to use the lake but we did enjoy the view.

Great location and waterfront

Overall, this was a great place to stay. If the beds were replaced, we would stay again. The waterfront was great and our kids really enjoyed themselves. We loved the kayaks and paddle board. Lots of sand toys and life vests. The kids caught tons of little fish off the dock. The sunroom was definitely the best place to be in the house. The upstairs room configuration is a bit weird if you have 2 different families staying with you. One thing to note is that you are required to haul your garbage to the waste transfer place down the road. If our friends staying with us didn't have a truck, we would have had to haul it in our car! Yuck! It would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Owner was very responsive.
