"There were 8 family members that stayed here as we traveled in for my daughter's wedding. The layout of the house was perfect and very roomy that allowed us to spread out and made getting ready on the wedding day a breeze. Upon arrival, the house was clean for the most part. The front porch could use a good cleaning. The stairs to the basement are very steep and the overhand is low. The first day, someone hit their head going down the stairs. "Everything was just as described. We like low key, hang at a house, fish, and play table games type places and this was perfect. Felt secluded, but town is close if you need anything and the little section of the lake was so peaceful! Fans were nice outside on the covered porch and the dock/pontoon was good for 4 people to fish off of. Only 1 1/2 hrs from Raleigh, which was a plus since family was coming up from State. GO PACK!"

"My wife and I were hosting out-of-town guests and family for our son's wedding in nearby Farmville. This turned out to be an ideal location. The host was always easy to reach for questions well in advance of our stay as well as during. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, plenty spacious, and great for meals for a larger group. While the nearby farmhouse is older, it has had some great updates (the kitchen is really well done) and it worked perfectly for the overflow of the several guests we had....

"It was more rustic than I had anticipated. The bathroom was outside of the cottage. The shower and faucet pit out only a trickle. I doubt if this place passes code. There were extension cords everywhere. The plumbing pipes were flexible hoses. The electricity comes from.an extension cord from the house next door."

"Excellent place to relax and connect. Cozy home with plenty of space for 4 guys. Loved the fire pit and the big screen to watch the World Series. Definitely would return especially with proximity to Biggs Island Brewery!"

Did not use dishwasher but was available. Im not being picky but the ONLY thing I believe it needed was some better pots and pans for cooking but we made do and definately not a deterent from booking again!
