Luxury living and amazing outdoor experiences in the midwest

Everything in this historic house has been completely updated.
The house has many living areas so people can have common and separate spaces to relax and work.
The inside has all the amenities but its the great layout and space inside, and outside 3 tier deck, concrete and grass play areas and easy access to local rivers and lakes that makes the house such a hit with its visitors.
The entire house is rented except for the Master Bedroom, Basement, Office and Garage which will remain locked.
The basement unit has its own entrance and its own driveway. The basement is a separate living area with NO shared space and locked shared doors to the main house. This space may be used by the owner partially or in full during your stay. The owner will have no access to the main part of the house. If you do not want the owner staying in the basement, please message him prior to booking. If you want to book the basement then please contact me about the additional fees, I can always make this space available for you.

So much space!

Jazz was a good host, responsive to my questions. The outdoor furniture was not set up as shown in the pictures but it was early April, and Jazz brought out the gas grill when I asked. His home is convenient to the highway and a great place from which to view the eclipse. There were rules, such as no pets, no shoes in the home, and stripping the beds I haven’t had to do in other rentals but overall it was a great place to stay.

Family reunion
Good location and perfect house for a family gathering. Lots of big spaces to gather for football watching and meals and good sleeping options available to spread the guests out. Well stocked kitchen for making big meals to feed the crowd.

Place was good and shared living space was great. Only real problem was the house temperature. Upstairs was way too hot even with the windows wide open. Needed owner to control and floors couldn’t be done separately. No games, cards or children’s equipment or toys. Very big Television. Kitchen well equipped.

Wedding Trip to Chagrin Falls
Overall it was a good trip and a good stay. The house has plenty or room. We had 8-10 adults. Good for entertaining. The house inside and outside needs TLC. No bedroom on main was a little challenging. Jazz was responsive and helpful.

Great location/lots of room
This is a lovely house with a great location right off the highway. Beautiful front and entrance way and lots of room in the back with multiple decks. Very large kitchen with lots of seating along with a large and comfortable living room. The bedrooms are large with 3 having their own bathroom. My review is limited due to a tornado taking out the power after the first day. The owner was very responsive and in touch. He contacted the power company and kept us updated. This is a great place for a group. Elderly may have some concern on narrow steps to the third floor and stone steps out back.

Great decks, great yard, and large open rooms in the house. Great location off the freeway, and close to Chagrin Falls. Large corner lot with lots of parking spaces.

Beautiful yard and deck, but be prepared.....
The home in Solon was large, adequately cleaned, had a beautiful deck, back yard and fire pit area. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms accommodated our family nicely and we enjoyed our stay. There were a number of issues that other travelers should be aware of that are not included in the VRBO listing. Check in time is 4 pm and check out is 11 am and there is little to no flexibility in this. We asked and learned that there is a charge for firewood (so we brought our own) as well as an additional charge to use the gas grill ($35 for a canister). As we were driving from out of town to the house, we learned that the owner forbids the wearing of shoes in the home so the entire family arrived without indoor footwear. Most of the floors and stairs are tile, ceramic, and wood, which are slippery, hard and uncomfortable in stocking feet. In addition, there were no paper towels, napkins, foil, plastic wrap, baggies; etc. in the kitchen and no shampoo, conditioner, or shower soap or gel, only hand soap, in the bathrooms. We also could not locate an iron or ironing board. There were a fair amount of household chores (stripping beds, gathering towels, emptying trash baskets, and washing and putting away all dishes) that were required as part of the check out procedure that are not usually required, especially since there was a $300 cleaning fee for this rental. Jazz communicated frequently by text and VRBO identifying the check in and out requirements and reiterated the checkout time and procedures which was somewhat excessive and intrusive. He did waive the "additional fee" for a check-in 45 minutes early which we appreciated and always have experienced with no issue or additional fees for this at many other VRBOs. In summary, this home is good for large groups who come in well-prepared and know what to expect.

Great Place
We had 10 adults staying for 3 nights at this property and there was plenty of room for all of us! The house was very inviting and had everything we needed. The beautiful backyard was a bonus that we also used and if it wasn't so hot and humid during our stay we would have definitely used the fire pit as well. Only little negative I had was the mattress in the bedroom we used was a little tough. Lol. Might be time to replace that one but otherwise 5 ⭐️'s still! Owner was great to communicate with! Thank you Jazz for a wonderful stay.

Celebration of life
The house and outdoors are nice and plentiful for large groups and the location was great. The kitchen was well stocked which made cooking easy. Jazz is a good communicator. We visited the BA Sweetie Candy Company in Cleveland and played mini golf there. Also visited Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville. I would suggest some mirrors in the bedrooms. Thanks Jazz!

Plenty of room!
What a relaxing & enjoyable time we all had in this lovely older home! The property owner was terrific with communication & cared that we had a pleasant stay. Areas like the kitchen have been nicely updated. Although some furniture is older, it is still comfortable to use. Jazz’s array of dishes and beautiful glassware made cooking & serving a delight! We all made some happy new memories in this home.

Great Family House
Wonderful and comfortable home, very convenient location (right off the 422 highway,) beautiful and very well stocked kitchen. The living room is a comfortable home theater with a huge TV, and there is lots of room at the dining table.

Rock & Roll with Friends in Cleveland
The property is a great older house with lots of space. Three stories with all bedrooms up stairs. Kitchens and bathrooms are all updated and the Kitchen Bar is a great area to gather and catch up with family and/or friends. Our weather was great and the outside patio area was wonderful. Easy on and off the highway to get to all the places you want to explore. The massage chair is a plus after a day at the R&R museum.

Bride's Family Togetherness
This is a good size property for a family needing several beds, bedrooms and baths. Our daughter's and son-in-law's wedding was in Gates Mills, Ohio and this location was perfect for getting around the area for different events and just our own eating, shopping and "tourist" needs. Six family members stayed in this property - using three of the four bedrooms. This is a property with personality (a working water fountain on the third floor!)- it is an older (and probably historic!) home with creaky floors and door hinges. But the gathering spaces and ample kitchen make up for for the sometimes inconvenient noises. Our daughter had her "getting ready" bride's photos taken on the stairwell landing - beautiful! We would recommend checking with the host about other guests renting the basement rental area (separate rental). We had not thought this would be a problem for us and did not ask for the basement rental to be empty. But there is a definite sound issue between the properties and we dealt with some late night noise from our house "neighbors." [I am guessing our "daytime" noise might have interfered with their quiet, as well] The massage chair in the family room was a definite plus and we all enjoyed being able to watch the Summer Olympics on the big screen TV in our down-time. Our suggestions for any improvement include making more and plumper bed pillows available for the five beds. Thank you, Jazz for a memorable stay!

Great location, lots of room.
We were in town with our family for a wedding. The location is convenient to all the things we needed: Wedding in Chagrin, airport, shopping. It had nice big rooms for all 8 of us to hang out. The kitchen is very nice. The furniture was more dated and worn then the pictures show, but the beds were comfortable. It was clean, all except the inside of the refrigerator. Internet access was good. Parking was easy even with our 3 rental cars. I would stay there again.
