"The location is remote, and the amenities were bare bones--if that. Shampoo, yes; conditioner, no. No hair dryer. No iron. Keurig machine but no capsules. No washcloths and only one handtowel. No facial tissue. It's like a place no one lives in."

"My wife and I stayed here as we were in town for a wedding at Loloma Lodge which is just a half mile away. The cottage is absolutely adorable! The pictures don’t do it justice. Very clean, well kept and very charming! The grounds are incredible and there is a lovely view of the river from the home which is 50 yards to the water’s edge. "Everything is excellent, especially the outdoor experience. We enjoyed the fire pit and the convenient location to the warm springs (wild onsen nearby). The grocery store and gas station within minutes of drive. The only thing that could be better is the aged sofa bed. The metal frame in the middle made it difficult to sleep on. "Matt answered our questions and solved a tech problem by personally responding when VRBO had a glitch. The cottage has every convenience, the wifi is great, the bed is so comfy. The super host touch of ingredients for S’more’s with wood for first a few feet from the River is such a treat! The river sounds fill the relaxing days at this A+ stay. We loved returning and would not hesitate to come back again."

"I don’t think it’s even possible to explain this place in words. This is by far one of the greatest places we’ve stayed. The views and feel are absolutely stunning. My wife and I will 100% be planning a trip back in the future. The river sound will lull you to sleep and make you long for it after leaving. Tim is an excellent host and was super responsive. "Beautiful home, awesome kitchen, plenty of places to sit and sleep and close to LoLoma Lodge where we were taking part of a family wedding, Wish we could have stayed longer! Only issue is if you open the windows at night, there is some road noise from trucks using their airbrakes in that stretch of the highway. Otherwise perfect place."

"As usual, Jonathan & Lisa, from whom I have rented several times in the past, hosted a very beautiful cabin. Located right alongside the McKenzie River, the cabin was well stocked (but needs wine glasses) and, unlike many places, was exceptionally well lighted in all areas (greatly appreciated). The master bedroom was as large as most motel rooms with a very comfortable bed. I am sure I will try to rent this cabin again in the future."

"Gorgeous modern, yet traditional cabin situated close to the river. Slept with the window open so we could listen to the water all night. A relaxing environment. Worked out really well taking our dog there, with large grassy area shared by the cabins. Next time we will take more groceries and stay longer."
