"South Swell was the best place we've stayed in Tofino. Considering that we've vacationed there numerous times since our honeymoon 32 years ago, that's saying a lot. Our family joined this time and we all found the stay to accommodate all our needs, and then some. From the size to the location, and to all the amenities, we were delighted to have built lasting memories in Kelly & Bob's place. Speaking of which, the two of them greeted us and quickly responded to our requests...the communication...

"Amazing property for our family of six. The kitchen is large with an excellent layout for cooking and visiting, and has all the supplies you could need. The rest of the house is beautifully done. The bedrooms are large and all of the beds were very comfortable. The outside is quiet and private, with several sitting areas. The kids loved the hot tub after a day at the ocean."

"Pretty much exactly as advertised. We had two adults and two teens, and were comfortable, but are also accustomed to sharing close quarters, so wouldn’t be for everyone. For two, it’s spacious by tiny home standards. If you’re looking to eat in for all of your meals, it’s less than ideal - very little kitchen space, and not well stocked for cooking. But fine for breakfast and lunch. Nowhere to eat though other than lined up on the day bed (in rainy season anyway). Tofino has great food options...

"We loved our stay in beautiful Tofino. Built and beautifully maintained by its owners (who live next door), it is perfectly located, just on the edge of Tofino. Wonderfully quiet, you are surrounded by trees but very close to beaches. A short (2 min) walk away is a well equipped store and a lovey local cafe with excellent home bakes. We would have loved to stay longer! "

"Lovely Pearl the owner will motor you back and forth from your little island retreat. But you are on island with her and their neighbors and it isn’t simple to get into town. But everyone is pleasant and accommodating. It’s a funky fun atmosphere but one you need to be prepared for."

"We booked two float homes and loved every minute. Pearl was easy to communicate with and quick to answer questions. This was a rustic relaxing vacation. The float homes didn’t rock as crazy as I would have liked because Strawberry Island is on the inlet side of the ocean but they certainly rocked gently here and there. Cooking and heat are via propane but the houses have electricity and city water which tasted divine right out of the tap! The properties are dog friendly but don’t stink at all....

"Wonderful spot, convenient to walk around town, access trails- made all our meals- had enough kitchen equipment to cook what we wanted."

"this was a great place to stay for the two of us. we stayed eight nights and hated leaving. the kitchen, living bed and bathrooms are perfect. the surround sound and fireplace worked with ease. it is a great location the host does everything to make your stay wonderful. "
