Cozy solar powered off-grid log cabin with spectacular beams and ridgepole that is nestled in a secluded forest near the scenic Sprague River. This cabin is located in a tranquil setting with a large covered porch where you can sit and relax for hours on end. The cabin sits on 1.5 acres of beautiful forested land. The rear property line is the Fremont Winema National Forest so there are thousands of acres available for fun activities like hiking, mountain biking, target shooting, and bird watching. We love to swim and fish in the river which is only about a half mile walk from the cabin.
Includes a horseshoe pit, three hole disc golf course, BBQ, and a picnic table. Located only 45 minutes from Crater Lake, only 37 minutes from Spring Creek, only 26 minutes from the KLA-MO-YA casino, and 51 minutes from Klamath Falls.
** CELL PHONE SERVICE NOTICE: Cell phone service is limited but the owners are able to stream and cast to the TV in the loft using a Samsung phone on the Verizon network. We have been informed that T-Mobile doesn't work at the cabin but that it does work at the mailboxes on Sprague River Road. We can't confirm this though. We're not sure about other carriers.
*** WI-FI NOTICE: There isn't any WiFi at the cabin. This is our place to disconnect from technology and reconnect with each other.
**** OFF-GRID NOTICE: This cabin is off-grid. This means that it is powered by solar panels that charge house batteries. There is an automated backup generator that will start and stop automatically if there isn't enough sun to keep the batteries charged. It's not the place to charge your electric vehicle or use devices that use a lot of electricity such as crock-pots or electric blankets. The solar panels won't be able to keep up with that kind of a load and the generator will have to run constantly. That said, the owners are often here a week at a time without the generator needing to provide backup power.
