Relaxing Waterfront cottage with boat launch and kayaks. Close to town.

We are sitting on 2 acres of property with 300 feet of waterfront at the mouth of the Tallaseehatchee Creek and the Coosa River. We offer a nice boat launch that can accommodate even larger boats.

This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath house can sleep up to 6 with a fully equipped kitchen open dinning room with a six person dinning room table. In the laundry room you will find and a large capacity washer & dryer with some of the essentials provided.  The living room provides a big screen smart tv where you can enjoy your favorite streaming services using free high speed internet, we also provide a few classic board games, card games, and a few books to read. 

Outside you will find 2 covered decks overlooking the property with a beautiful water view. Enjoy a cookout on a charcoal BBQ grill. Then make your way down to the water via a gentle slope stair free, to a beautiful sitting area with a natural stone firepit.  The boat ramp and it's two docks are just a few feet away from the house.  In addition to all this you will also have access to kayaks that can be used to go exploring on the creek. 

We will never ask you to do a long list of chores before you leave. All we ask you to do is kindly take out all of your trash before you leave. We are here to make sure you enjoy your vacation.

Myself and other family members often enjoy using our river house. Unfortunately we are highly allergic to pet dander therefor we can not allow dogs or cats on the property due to health reasons. Thank you for understanding.

Peace on the river
In the area to run the Pinhoti 100 (Heflin to Sylacauga) and needed a nice, quite place to relax pre-race and recharge afterwards. Perfect spot and the host couldn't have been nicer. The house was incredibly clean and well furnished, and the river-front property made for a very peaceful setting. Thanks so much!

Relaxing Home Away from Home
Our family stayed here while our kids were out of school on fall break. The place was immaculately clean when arrived and the hosts even left a little bucket of snacks to welcome us. They were very responsive when we had questions. This cottage was right on the water and had a wonderful fire pit that we enjoyed roasting s’mores at. We visited Majestic Caverns and the Blue Bell Creamery while we were here. We had a FANTASTIC stay and made some great family memories! Thank you for a great vacation rental experience!!

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful experience from the start. Communication with April was easy and she answered all the questions I had promptly. As soon as we arrived everything was perfect. Great Cottage
Cottage was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Neighborhood was quiet and friendly. All questions were answered immediately. We really enjoyed kayaking down the creek. Great relaxing trip.

Peaceful Getaway
We truly enjoyed our weekend baseball getaway! This place was clean and quiet with great access to recreation. We were playing baseball in Hoover and this retreat offered much more than a hotel room, with cleanliness and lots of amenities including kayaks and convenient water access for kayaking and fishing opportunities. We will definitely be back when we are in Hoover again...this time we will bring our fishing boat, as there is a public access ramp right at the property. The owners were super helpful and communicated well. Everything was super simple and we really enjoyed our stay!

Prefect Location
This rental was the perfect location for getting to Red Eagle and to Selwood Farm for my sons SCTP tournament. We loved being right on the water in our boat and the kids loved the kayaks. Owners were super sweet and had a little welcome basket on the kitchen counter. We would stay here again for sure.

Great family get-away!
Perfect for our family of six. Very nice and CLEAN! Lots of fun things to do for all ages. Large yard, water front, fire pit with plenty of seating, kayaks, fishing, cornhole, lots of board games, and more. We had a blast. Kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with anything you could need. Property owners were very nice and responded immediately to any requests. Highly recommend this stay and we definitely plan to return if they will have us again! :)

Zero complaints, flawless lodging
This property was so well maintained and visitor ready, it blew me away! No detail was forgotten, there were rag towels for messy accidents, extra fans, blackout/light blocking window treatments, ziploc bags for snacks, the time and effort they put in for guests at this cottage was evident. It was cleaner than most any hotel I've stayed in around the world. Killer, killer spot, I will return!

Beds and furniture were great. Place was immaculate. We did not use the kitchen but I now know it would be a great place to make meals in the future. Only 20 minutes from our family in Sylacauga so will definitely use you again. Told my husband’s sisters about you, too

Wonderful Vacation Spot!
We had a wonderful time at this adorable cabin. The host was so friendly and even left my son some little goodies to help celebrate his birthday! The home was very clean and comfortable. Additional amenities were provided, going above and beyond. We would definitely return to this home if vacationing in the area in the future.

Perfect location for a weekend hunt at Sellwood Farm
My son and I stayed at this cottage on Lay Lake. It is a 10 minutes drive to Sellwood Farm and 5 minutes to Hwy 280 for restaurants. House was spotless and April was very attentive. Will stay again for sure. Thanks Rob and Nick

April is. WONDERFUL host! She communicated with us the entire stay to make sure we were comfortable. Had a slight issue with the coffee maker and she brought a new one over promptly. The house is beautifully furnished and on a really sweet location on a creek. My kids had a wonderful time playing in the water and swimming.

Clean cottage and located close to restaurants.
The cottage is right beside the boat ramp which made it an excellent access to get on the lake. The lake is beautiful. Look forward to returning.The host contacted me a couple of times just making sure we didn't need anything, which I thought was nice.

They thought of everything
Really clean and cute place with nice areas to gather inside and out. Both bedrooms and bath’s were well equipped and so was the kitchen. Super convenient to have w/d and be right on the water with kayaks to enjoy. Great and super responsive hosts to answer any questions.
