We spent a week here and a great time. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had a lot to offer. It is a very short walk to the beach, and the beach is great - my daughters loved that. A short walk in the other direction and you find all kinds of restaurants, a Target, and the Red Line - which will get you straight to downtown Chicago. It was fun learning how to navigate public transit and the L is always a fun way to get around. Also, the unit is spacious.
For us, this was a 5 star stay and hope to come back again - as a Cubs fan this would be a great stay as the L will take you to Addison, steps away from Wrigley. That said, there are a couple things to keep in mind. The parking is a challenge on the street, especially when the beach is busy. We used the garage that is available, and it was great. It is pretty narrow to pull in and out of, but with a little patience was a great option. The building is older, so no central air but they have plenty of ac units in the space to keep it comfortable (and I am always hot). You can hear the people in the unit above walking, it can be quite loud if they're walking with purpose. And you can hear if they're playing music or talking loud. But, it was never an issue as we never heard a peep through the night and were not disturbed. For someone real picky those might be reasons to think twice, but for us we were not inconvenienced.
We loved our stay here and do intend to come back the next time we come for a Cubs game!
