Host was totally accommodating

Property was not as pictured. Two queen beds as pictured, however no full futon in place. No sofa beds, however, host brought it a queen air mattress for us. Can only accommodate 6 people if non couples are ok sleeping in same bed.Unable to get decent TV until second night when host put in their own Amazon password. I would totally recommend this property.

Great house but disappointed in the details

This is a cute house that we enjoyed staying in. The smart TV made family movie night easy and the two separate bedrooms gave us plenty of sleeping space. A few details: There were no smoke detectors installed when when checked in. As someone who is scared of house fires, this terrified me as I put my 3 small children to bed. My husband had to drive to Walmart at 10:00pm the first night to buy a smoke detector. The owner finally responded after a few hours (not a huge deal and he did give me his cell number after this) and said he would have them installed the next day. He installed 2 out of 3 and 1 kept going off so we had to take it down. He never did replace the two broken smoke detectors. So for an old house with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, a sun room, and living room, we had one smoke detector in one bedroom. I was not happy and grateful we could add our own to the kitchen. But we should not have needed to. I never asked about the carbon monoxide detector, but I didn't see one of those either. Both of these are listed on the property as installed. Since the owner lives downstairs, I'm shocked at his nonchalant attitude as he rents out his house and has a gas fire pit and a gas grill available. Also, the kitchen is very minimum. The post does not lie about this and everything listed is available, but nothing else. There are no measuring spoons/cups, and no Tupperware. Just wanted to mention as we ended up missing them.

You can't get there from here

The address is not really on your GPS. A rope blocks the actual driveway. You have to contine past yhe address, turn on the next road, go back up the road behind, and then several very sharp turns into the back driveway.The unit was nice and clean. Parking was an issue. We arrived at check in time and listened for over 3 hours while the caretaker weed eated and blew off the property. So, sitting on deck was not an option. Oh, and there's a camera watching the deck...

This home had nice furnishings and the beds were comfortable. The home was older and showed its age. The bathrooms were not clean. The neighborhood was transitional although beautiful homes on the ridge quite different down the hill.

Must be ready to do stairs

It was not clear that it required climbing exterior stairs to enter the house. Normally, this would not be a problem except that we are all in our 80s. Fortunately, we were able to climb them, but it made the visit more taxing than anticipated. The interior, however, was excellent and totally enjoyable from start to finish. M. Blair

Cute House with Minor Listing Inaccuracies

We had a great stay on our trip. The sunroom was perfect for relaxing. We were surprised when there was only 1 shower since the listing states itā€™s 2 bathrooms. I may have missed it being stated in fine print, but wish the listing said 1.5 bathrooms so it was more obvious. I personally had an issue with the unit smelling like cigarette smoke, mainly in the bathrooms. It is a smoke free house, but there is an apartment underneath that you share a driveway with and the residents were smoking outside. Besides that, the house was immaculate and within perfect distance of where ever you might want to go in Chattanooga.

This rental is an apartment, not a house.

We didnā€™t stay, so we cant speak to that.However, the host was not responsive to our inquiries once we determined that he lived below the space we would be renting for the weekend. He didnā€™t respond until nearly 10:30p forcing us to stay at a hotel. He then proceeded to not even refund at least one of the nights since he couldnā€™t rebook.We might have shown up in person and looked at the place but much of this is based on trust and we felt his ad was already extremely misleading and wanted to clarify a few things before arriving.This rentalā€™s ad is intentionally misleading and the host is not at all responsive to messages through Vrbo.

Wonderful house, questionable neighborhood

The house was wonderful. It had everything we needed and was clean. We did notice a cigarette smell when the air would kick on. The house was easy to find but finding the entrance to the driveway was tricky. We never got a check-in email so we were without instructions on how to find the correct driveway. Luckily, we were able to figure it out. The drive to the house was a little sketchy. I did feel safer once we started up the hill. Denny was a wonderful host and answered all of our questions.

Cute spot close to everything

We enjoyed our stay and loved how close we were to everything! The gas fire pit was a huge plus and we enjoyed our evenings by it! There was a slight cigarette smell when we arrived but with some open windows and dinner cooking it dissipated so it couldā€™ve been from previous guest. The kitchen does not supply measuring utensils or a huge variation of glasses so you may want to bring your own. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the host was very helpful and responsive!

Super Quiet with a nice mountain view

House- it was older but nice and decorated beautifully. The view was amazing and the place was super quiet. It did have an older smell in the sunroom but it's not overwhelming in the rest of the house. The sunroom did have stink bugs so I couldn't sit in there. For the most part, the stink bugs stayed in the sunroom. Only two wondered outside into the kitchen. Host- He seemed nice and was responsive.Cleanliness- Wasn't good.I had to clean the toilets, sinks, tub, microwave, and a portion of the fridge in order to use any of these places. I'm not happy about that at all since my purpose for traveling was to relieve my injuried body of all forms of work for a few days. There was seemed like dog & human kinds of hair and other forms of debris EVERYWHERE! And it was very dusty. The host offered to send the cleaner back to clean but it was the day after I had arrived and would have been on my only full day at the property. In addition to the fact that I had already cleaned in order to use these places. Overall, it would not have been a bad place to stay if it was actually professionally & skillfully cleaned.
