Courtyard cottage. 3 ensuite bedrooms and parking and privacy

Our charming cottage allows you privacy that includes a lovely enclosed courtyard.
Featuring an open-concept living and dining area, this free standing home feels both spacious and cozy. The kitchen comes complete with stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked.
Each of the three bedrooms have queen beds. The three bathrooms are conveniently located near the bedrooms.
Live like a local in this private abode with a private outdoor garden, comfortable seating area and a private outdoor grill.

Offsite Adult Pool & Gym Access
We partner with an offsite resort called the Wonderer which is located in downtown Charleston, a short drive away. Our guests 25+ are able to visit the wonderer. There is a strict age policy, no one under 21 will be permitted (including the pool). Resort features : Olympic size pool (heated in winter) , Poolside Cabana (additional charge), Gym (classes at additional charge) , 2 bars , Restaurant , Private & Shared work space

The entire property is available to guests. The courtyard is enclosed and private. There is one parking place dedicated to the property right in front of the cottage. The cottage is a stand alone, one story building so guests have complete privacy. However, Jamie’s office is next door if you need help.

Our office manager, Jamie, has her office on site and is very available for questions, luggage storage and other help. However, we don’t hover and give you as much privacy as you want.

Located just one block from King Street, St. Philip Square is a collection of 6 restored historic homes with a spacious shared courtyard and outdoor garden areas that span an entire city square block of downtown Charleston. 
 

We rate a 94 on the “walk score” which ranges from 0 to 100. Shops, restaurants and attractions are an easy walk. The routes north to Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms and south to Kiawah and Seabrook and Wadmalaw Islands or Drayton Hall and Middleton Place Plantation are easily accessed if you have a car. We guarantee one parking place right in front of the cottage. However bike taxis and Uber are a quick call away and city transportation is nearby.

OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of persons, including children, at all times is limited to listing. Your reservation is subject to immediate cancellation and/or additional charge at the option of the Owner if you have brought more guests than max listed. 4. CARE OF PROPERTY: Tenant agrees to return premises to Owner upon the expiration of this lease in as clean and good condition as reasonable use will permit, and to repair, replace or pay for any breakage or damage done by Tenant and/or his guests. 5. NO ADDITIONS: No fixtures or appliances shall be installed without the prior written consent of Owner. 6. REPAIRS/INSPECTION: Owner or Owner’s agents shall have access to the leased premises to make necessary repairs. Owner will use its best efforts to provide reasonable notice of any such access. 7. REPAIR REFUNDS: Appliances and amenities are not guaranteed, and refunds will not be given due to breakdown. Repairs will be made by the Owner as soon as practical. 8. SIGHT UNSEEN RENTALS: Tenant should make every effort to pre-inspect the property before executing Lease. Otherwise, Tenant acknowledges and agrees to accept the property in its condition upon commencement of the Lease sight unseen. Pictures on VRBO taken within 8 months or no changes have been made and depicted as picture. 9. LINEN: Owner shall furnish blankets, linens and towels which Tenant shall not remove from the leased premises. 10. RENTABILITY: If the leased premises is destroyed by fire or acts of God so as to be unfit for occupancy either prior to or during the term of the lease, the Owner shall return any prorated share of unused time that may have been paid in advance. The lease shall not terminate as a result of cosmetic or inoperable non-essential appliances. 11. SUBLETTING: The Tenant shall not be permitted to sublet or assign this lease agreement without the written consent of the Owner. 12. DEFAULT: Any default by the Tenant under the terms and conditions of this lease, including but not limited to the failure to pay rent, shall result in the termination of this lease at the option of the Owner and the premises must be vacated immediately with no refund to Tenant. If damage has been done to the leased premises in an amount in excess of any rent or security deposit paid, Tenant shall also be liable for any such damage. 13. CANCELLATION: All cancellations will first fall in policy as set by site. If not within those dates, all requests by the Tenant to cancel this lease must be made in writing. Upon notice of a desire to cancel, Owner shall use its best efforts to re-rent the leased premises. All pre-paid rents or deposits shall be held by Owner until the leased premises are re-rented at the full rental price. If the property is re-rented for the full rental amount, Tenant shall receive a refund of all pre-paid rents or deposits. If the property rents for less then the full rental amount, Tenant shall receive a refund of all pre-paid rents and deposits, less the difference between Tenant’s rental amount of the new rental amount. Prices are not lowered until we are a couple weeks out, at which time, we try to lower the price to allow for better chance to rent and to allow some sort of refund. 14. ACCEPTANCE: This lease must be agreed to which means, by booking, you agree to the terms and conditions of this lease. 15. SECURITY DEPOSIT: The security deposit should be considered with total rent due when considering deposit due. Deposit will be refunded by Owner and released to the Tenant after the property has been inspected and in accordance with applicable law UNLESS THE OWNER PROVIDES TENANT WITH WRITTEN NOTICE OF DAMAGE OR OTHER REASONS TO WITHHOLD A RETURN OF THE DEPOSIT WITHIN FOURTEEN (14) DAYS OF THE LEASE TERMINATION DATE. The security deposit shall not be deemed a limit on Tenant’s liability to Owner for any damage to the premises or otherwise. 16. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS: Do not leave food of any kind outside. For safety reasons, do not sit or lean on the 2nd or 3rd floor piazza railings. Supervise children at all times while on the piazzas. Tenant and his/her guests assume all liability when occupying the piazzas. Please leave doors and windows closed whenever possible due to habitual insects and flying bugs. Any items for use with property should be listed on the site and may need a liability waiver, so waiver must be signed before use of any item on property like kayaks or water items if listed with property. 17.

Pretty good.
House is in a great location. Unfortunately, The keypad didn’t work and we needed to request an extra key-which they responded to quickly. The house was well equipped and comfortable for 5 girlfriends. Unfortunately, the House had a strong musty moldy smell. I’m very sensitive to that so for that reason I wouldn’t stay there again.

Great Location and Service
The properties at St. Philip Square are in a fantastic location with easy access to restaurants and shops. It is also only a short walk to DASH bus stops. The units all appear to have been very recently remodeled and all share access to a beautiful outdoor space with plenty of seating areas for multiple groups to enjoy at the same time. The unit we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. We also were impressed by Jamie's communication and responsiveness. Everything we needed to know was shared in advance and when we did have a question, we received an immediate and accommodating response.

This is exactly as portrayed on the listing. Very walkable to everything. We barely moved our car the entire week. Off site parking for more than 1 car. Convenient to coffee shop and all dining shopping on Kings St.

I will definitely be back to this property to stay for all of our College of Charleston visits. The 3 bedrooms were perfect and the walk to everywhere was just right. Great restaurants and shops nearby. Check-in was the easiest ever.

Family vacation
The Cottage was perfect for us. Enough room to move around, plenty of kitchen and bath supplies. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was spotty wireless and internet access. It very much complicated work access for a couple of us.

Charleston cottage charmer!
The Cottage at St. Philip Square is ideally located off of shopping on King Street near other well maintained Vrbo properties. The fenced-in front brick patio/courtyard was our favorite spot to enjoy morning coffee and dine outside. Perfectly sized home for our family of four traveling together. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, full sized washer and dryer very convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

sheer perfection
This darling, immaculate, aesthetically appealing, nicely landscaped cottage was the perfect choice for our stay. The owner thought of absolutely everything a guest might need, and was very generous with her amenities. Everything in the cottage was of high quality. The decor--both the color scheme and the furnishings--made for a most comfortable visit. The shaded lot meant that sitting outside in the courtyard did not require slathering up with sun lotion. We loved that the DASH bus stop was a short walk away. We loved that plenty of things were a short walk away. The dedicated parking spot in the driveway gave us peace of mind for parking the one car that we had (belonging to the other couple who stayed with us). I would not hesitate to stay here on a future visit. I would not even look for other properties. This would be my one and only choice. We felt so welcome and comfortable.
