"We had already driven 13 hours when we started looking for a cheaper hotel. Initially we looked in Raton, but the poor reviews about cleanliness, etc, for the budget hotels in that area made us decide to drive the extra half hour to get to this hotel. We were not disappointed! The hotel was immaculate and well-kept, though older. The sheets and towels were newer, and the beds comfortable. No TVs but it was nice not to have that distraction when you’re surrounded by nature. Definitely recommend if you want a unique experience away from the usual hotel experience.
