"I thought the cabin was adorable. Plenty of yard to hang out in. Firepit, grill, firewood . Just about everything you would need except charcoal which we did bring. Plenty of hiking places. We even went to the lake for swimming."

"We very much enjoyed the Sassafras’s cabin! Clean, well appointed with dishes, pans etc. they even provided coffee. Centrally located in the Shawnee Natl Forest, we were only 8 minutes away from great hiking, The Garden of the Gods and more. While there are other cabins nearby there was plenty of privacy. Very quiet place to enjoy a fire pit and decompress. We will absolutely be back for another stay. "

"Very enjoyable stay ... perfect size for my husband and I ... everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the cute front porch enjoying nature from our seat on the glider. LOVED the swing hanging from the oak tree branch (took me back to my childhood). The neighborhood cat came over for a visit. My husband saw a hummingbird every morning. Roasted hotdogs and made s'mores at the firepit. Cabin was clean. Only down side was the 2 queen beds were up in the loft ... the ladder/stairs were...

"The location was perfect to the surrounding National Forest trailheads. Garden of the Gods. The cabin was updated with good amenities. The cabin we stayed in was nearby a hornets nest. But other than that, the stay was accommodating and the memories created in the forest was ever-lasting. Thank you for the hospitality."
