"Lighthouse was absolutely perfect for a group pf x 3 friends to enjoy time together. What`s not to like about sea views, coastal walking and glorious sunshine ? "Property was as advertised, very nice, reasonably priced. The address was a bit of a problem for google maps, we did have bit of a challenge finding it. Parking was good. They said it had steep stairs to access, and it does! Overall a great stay!! I have had a big problem getting my email address corrected on VRBO. That has nothing to do with the Whitby property, but does present a difficulty communicating. "

"My family and I had a wonderful stay at York cottage. There are several cottages so it felt like a tiny hamlet. Having access to the beautiful hotel grounds was a bonus, especially with having our dog with us. Inside the property was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Super clean, well equipped and with very comfortable beds. "The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return."
