An Cnocan is a very charming, traditional styled cottage, detached and set in a spectacular countryside. It boasts stunning panoramic views of Kenmare Bay and the Beara Mountains. This spacious, picturesque property with its own driveway for private offroad parking, the patio area with table and benches and the large lawn invite you to feel comfortable.

The cottage offers comfortable country style flair for up to 6 people. It has a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, three tastefully furnished bedrooms, upstairs with views of Kenmare Bay and the Beara Mountains. In the spacious living room with dining area you can enjoy the evening in front of a crackling fire in the fireplace.

County Kerry, Ring of Kerry, Wild Atlantic Way.
Located in the Dark Sky Reserve of South Kerry in an elevated position directly at the famous Ring of Kerry, along the fascinating coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way. The cottage is the ideal base for turing some of Irelands most magnificent scenerys and lots of activities like: hiking (Kerry Way), mountain biking, golf, horse riding, fishing, kayaking, dolphin and whale watching, beach walks and swimming at Coral, Castlecove and Derrynane Beach.

Pubs with live music and restaurants for the evening outing can be found in the beautiful town of Sneem, 6 km away, as well as the grocery shop, bakery, post office, doctor and pharmacy.
The nearest town, Kenmare, is great for strolling and there are large supermarkets such as Lidl, Aldi and Super Value.

Gorgeous view, simple and sufficient accommodations, perfect location for exploring County Kerry. Sneem and Kenmare a short drive for plenty of dining and grocery options. Upstairs bedroom a little toasty for sleeping, but I left a fan for the next folks so no worries.

We loved staying here while enjoying Ireland. The house and yard are welcoming for a restful time at home and situated for trips to every special place in SW Ireland. Everything needed for a wonderful stay is provided. Caretaker Evelyn is friendly and helpful as needed. Such a wonderful place to stay.

Lovely location

The host Dieter were fast to respond to messages, and were kind enough to be our host. Cottage were in a great location, ideal to see the southwestern parts of this beautiful country! I've yet so tire of green hills, rocky mountains, and seaside cliffs. Caretakers were super kind, and we spent a cosy week in this cottage ā¤ļø This was our first time in Ireland, and it was a great way to spend the time šŸ¤— It's certainly not the last!!

An Cocnan stay

The location is beautiful and private and easy to find . Accommodation is spacious and comfortable enough ( apart from the pillows but everyone has different preferences) but felt a bit dark . It seems there is a damp issue as the property unfortunately smelt mildewy and the bed clothes were all damp on arrival which meant we had to use own blankets for the night - we wondered if there is scope to improve ventilation . The water took a long time to heat for a bath ā€¦ We walked on local footpath near house and saw a Sika deer very close up. Killarney national park was exceptionally beautiful. We also managed to get to Kerry Cliffs and explore coastline including St. Finans bay . We had a lovely stay overall with a few sunny spells.

We enjoyed our 8 night stay very much. Very close to Sneem, a charming little village. Evelyn and the owners were very responsive to any inquiries we had. Would definitely recommend this cottage as it had everything and beyond that you need.

Sehr schƶnes Haus , super nette und hilfsbereite Caretakerin.

Das Haus liegt mitten im GrĆ¼nen. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Man findet alles, was man braucht ( z. B. Boxen und verschlieƟbare PlastiktĆ¼ten fĆ¼r ein Picknick, Kerzen, Spiele, eine sehr gut ausgestattete KĆ¼che mit vielen Utensilien ā€¦) Man kann drauƟen auf der Bank sitzen und den weiten Blick auf das Meer genieƟen oder am Abend gemĆ¼tlich am Kamin sitzen. Das Haus ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt fĆ¼r verschiedene AusflĆ¼ge in die Umgebung. Ein riesengroƟes Lob bekommt Evelin, die Caretakerin von uns. Wir hatten groƟe Probleme mit dem Mietwagen und Evelin hat keine MĆ¼he gescheut, uns tatkrƤftig zu unterstĆ¼tzen. Vielen, vielen Dank dafĆ¼r. Trotz unserer ( selbstverschuldeter ) Probleme zu Beginn hatten wir einen wundervollen Aufenthalt.

Entspannte Woche in einem wunderschƶnen Cottage

Das Cottage liegt direkt am Ring of Kerry und ist dabei sehr ruhig und extrem gemĆ¼tlich. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefĆ¼hlt. Bei wechselndem Wetter mit viel Sonnenschein und Regen haben wir neben Wanderungen z.B. am Derrynane House und AusflĆ¼gen in die Umgebung z.B. nach Valentina Island die Entspannung und Ruhe in dem hĆ¼bsch eingerichteten Cottage genossen.

A fabulous week!

A very nice cottage with a real seaview. Everything you need is in the cottage. Beds are comfortables, the kitchen is very well equipped. The cottage is situated on the Ring of Kerry. The village of Sneem is only 10 minutes away by car. In the area you can do nice walks. Go to Derrynane for instance for a walk. When you are there, take a boat trip on the Atlantic Ocean and Kenmare Bay, if you are lucky, like we were, you will get to see dolphins!

Eine Woche Urlaub direkt am Ring of Kerry

Die Unterkunft macht einen recht sauberen Eindruck. Die KĆ¼che ist samt SpĆ¼lmaschine, 2 Backƶfen (!), Wasserkocher und diversen KĆ¼chenutensilien sehr gut ausgestattet. Insgesamt ist es ein sehr schƶnes und gemĆ¼tliches Haus. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen sicher gerne wieder :) PS: Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern ist ausgezeichnet!

Lovely and clean, very well kept and it was easy to live here. We enjoyed good weather so sitting outside for breakfast was wonderful, looking out across the fields, the mountains, the water. Just a 5 minute drive to Sneem meant it was easy to find shops and pubs close by. In the other direction, the glorious beaches at WhiteStrand and Derrynane were regular spots to take our dog and go swimming. Dieter and Heike's house was a great place to stay.
