This secluded cabin lies on the edge of 300 miles of woods, perfect for peaceful getaways. The historic Pacific Crest Trail is right outside your door, while a full kitchen and backyard await at home.

What's nearby:
The nearby town of Cascade Locks features shopping, dining, and a marina and boat launch. The area is beloved by cyclists for the Cascade-to-Crown Bicycle Ride. In addition to hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail and the Bridge of Gods, the area features river rides on the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler at Marine Park, and seasonal events like the Lighting of the Bridge and Christmas Festival of Light.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Disappointed
This rustic little place had charm and a great Location. However, the sheets on the king bed had not been changed and were so old and pealed that they were rough. We actually found a quarter in the bed from the previous guest as well as hair everywhere. We drove 20 miles in the other direction to buy a set of sheets.. The bed was so hard and the comforter was so thin and old that we didn’t even stay our second night, leaving and making the 2.5 hour drive home . A mattress topper and some new bedding would make all the difference. This is my second disappointing rental through Vacasa. I most likely will not use them again.

small, quiet and just right
Very old quaint little cottage on the edge of town. Super quiet. Very cute and homey. Brand new washer/ dryer. walkable to everything. It's small, but has basically everything you would need. The bed and pillows in the 'master bedroom' are great. However, the twin beds not so much (cheap Ikea beds and mattresses). My sister and friend managed them for the two nights, but not great. Very clean. Looks like they just redid the floors and other things, so no musty smells at all (other reviews mentioned this). They could line the little area where the trash is in the kitchen, but otherwise the place is quite nice. If you're looking for that pristine hotel like feel this is not it. It's an old cottage, but fixed up really nice and super cute. We loved our stay there. All the mushroom decor was fun too!

4th of July
It was comfortable. There is some highway traffic noise from I-84. For the price, I have absolutely no complaints. Only blocks away from the town of Cascade Locks. If you’re a hiker it’s literally one block to the PCT. Worked perfect for having a dog. The building itself isn’t completely level (doors have doorstops to keep from closing on their own) but we weren’t bothered by it, because wasn’t extreme. Front room a bit small, but was fine for the two of us. King bed was nice. (Bedroom located in the back of house. Very private) And there are two twins in the bedroom next to the front room. No neighbors to the right of the house and only one neighbor to the left. No neighbors at the back or front of the house. So had fair amount of privacy. Again, for the price my husband and I would probably stay again.

Little Cabin (almost) in the woods
Old hunting cabin they fixed up and added significant charm. I went with my 3 boys for an outdoor weekend. It has everything you need, kitchen supplies, campfire, washer/dryer, but don't expect a lot of extras. Perfect for what we needed. The shower head dripped but they have tried to repair it, it was not a nuisance to us. Although the place was clean (kitchen and bath were very clean) we did request they clean under/behind the couch as we needed the couch bed- that is the only reason for the low rating and issues were probably due to the remoteness of the place. Hiking trails (PCT) are right out the door and that is why we came there.

Old fashioned family fun!
We had the best time at this rustic little cabin! It felt a bit like stepping back to a simpler time. We popped popcorn on the stove and taught the kids poker, making wonderful memories. The cabin is in a fantastic location surrounded by endless outdoor activities. Cascade Locks has everything you would need with a delicious coffee shop and a variety of restaurants. We will be back, thanks for having us!

Thanksgiving getaway
Our family of four had everything we needed for an a enjoyable long weekend. Kitchen had a full working stove/oven, full fridge, small microwave, coffee maker, and all necessary accessories to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal. Don’t forget to bring your own coffee! Neighbor’s house next door was super close and it felt like we were looking at them while washing dishes. Would have loved some window curtains! We had plenty of DVD’s and puzzles to entertain ourselves. Had a great time exploring the area. Multnomah Falls and Hood River were favorites. Beds were comfortable. Sitting area was a bit tight for 4, but we snuggled! Would definitely come again in better weather to do some hiking. We enjoyed the vast selection.

The home was beautiful and well furnished. The bedrooms were beautiful! My only complaint is that the neighbor, who actually lives next door, her dog came into our area unleashed and when she came to get it she appeared intoxicated and started talking about her breasts and she apologized for not having curtains in her home and further apologized if we caught glimpse of her breasts… it was inappropriate and strange. On the morning of check out the house keeper came 15 minutes early and parked directly behind us and waited on the property while we finished packing. I did not like that as I felt more pressure to leave causing more stress on check out. Home is beautiful but those two things make me hesitant on staying again.

A fun spot
The little cabin was perfect for our family of 5. No wifi, but fun collection of videos to choose from, and good excuse to get kids off their devices. Location is close to waterfalls. We stopped at local supermarket and had breakfast at the cabin. The clothes-washer was not working when we were there, but otherwise everything was great.

Cute and cozy
Very small but just right for a quick weekend away with my young child and husband. No dishwasher was a bummer, but the proximity to the trail made up for it! Enjoyed not having internet or TV: we played games and enjoyed each other. Great stay!

Cute little house in Cascade Locks. Only issue was no book explaining how things work. Never figured out the TV. A book of instructions would be helpful. Everything else was great!

Confusing but worked
Stay as a whole was good and worked out but had some confusing moments—address street name on the app was wrong so had to drive around to find it and the house doesn’t have a house number on it. There isn’t any WiFi at the house at all or cable which I assumed was a standard for VRBOs—they have DVDs but only one DVD player in the house worked. Check out instructions in the binder at the house were different than online. Also not sure how 6 people would fit in here — I’d say 4 max can fit comfortably as there just isn’t enough living space. Positives were that it was a very quiet area and very close to restaurants and a couple breweries and very close to Hood River and the bridge of the gods. Great hikes around! Spent the majority of the trip hiking so the WiFi/cable situation wasn’t a huge deal but again, assumed it was a standard and would have been very useful when researching hikes and the area.

Cute little get away
For the most part everything was great! The house has AC and a cute little living room with tons of dvds and pretty commoners. My only complaint is regarding the backyard space; there were four chairs around the fire pit and they were all dirty and in disrepair. Unfortunately one broke with me in it leaving me pretty banged up for a few days.
