Our neighborhood is quiet and tucked away in the pines, truly a mountain experience! We are still just a quick drive to many wonderful beaches including Carnelian West End Beach, Patton Beach, Lake Forest Beach, and many more. We also offer our guests private pier access through our HOA, a ten minute walk or 2 minute drive from the home.
Guests will have access to the entire home with the exception of a couple locked closets.

Carnelian Bay Hideaway is your ideal home base in Tahoe. Enjoy the spacious deck with a partial lake view, surrounded by trees. Inside, the large open concept living area features Sonos speakers, a large Smart TV, and a cozy fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you'll need.

On the first level, you’ll find a master bedroom with a king bed, a queen bedroom, a full bathroom, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Upstairs, the loft area has a desk, large Smart TV, Sonos speaker, and a couch, making it perfect for work or relaxation. The second master bedroom, a full bathroom, and the bunk room are also on this level.
With spacious closets, four bedrooms, and two living areas, Carnelian Bay Hideaway is perfect for your group to spread out and relax during your lake vacation.

We are located on a quiet street tucked back into the woods. The streets around are home are very narrow and have hidden speed bumps, so please take it slow and watch your surroundings. We have a long driveway with plenty of parking, and we have an additional half paved turn off by the bear box for extra parking.
Home Truths:
- Maximum of 6 adults per reservation.
- No air conditioning, like most homes in Lake Tahoe.
- No bathtubs in the home.
- Outdoor furniture (including the BBQ) may not be available in the winter months (November - May).
- 4WD recommended during winter.
- Quiet hours (9pm-8am) and occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Noise ordinance violations can result in fines up to $10,000.
- If a bear breaks into the home/bear box because bear aware rules are not followed, there will be a minimum $250 fee.
One lesson we've learned about the great outdoors is the frequent requirement to wipe down the deck furniture. Despite our efforts to maintain the utmost cleanliness for your convenience, it seems that nature is working against us. You may need to wipe down the outdoor table, chairs, and any other outdoor seating. The dust and pollen accumulates within a matter of hours.

Furnishings and amenities will be furnished as described whenever possible. In the event that an item is damaged/broken/lost the owner will restock as soon as possible. All items in description/pictures are not guaranteed.
Due to unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances, including poor air quality and smoke associated with wildfires, we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to cover your cancellation, as we will not be able to offer a full refund outside the cancellation window.
Tahoe Cohost Collective is not a property manager and is not liable for any injury or damages incurred while staying at the property. All reservations are between the booking platform, the property owner, and the guest.
Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try and accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.
