Thank you for your booking which was made as above.
Upon being allocated the room, we had a quiet night. The following morning upon looking at the bedlinen we realised that there were faecal marks on the bed linen which we had used. These faecal marks were well caked on the linen showing that this was from previous usage. The Hotel staff was immediately informed and they seemed unperturbed by this. We then ripped all the bedlinen ourselves and asked for fresh bedlinen.
As Hotel Team was immediately informed of the situation they agreed as to what had been observed.
As a Hotel guest my expectation of a 4 star hotel is at least to provide clean bedding which was clearly failed by Copthorne Hotel. This is an unacceptable manner of providing a service as this breeds disease moreover to children.
I would like to bring to your attention that faeces do pose high risks of allergy reactions and resapiratory and skin infections.
Bearing in mind the above the room was not immediately thoroughly cleaned
No room exchange was offered which brought about anxiety and restlessness during the stay.
My understanding is that it is the responsibility of the Hotel to provide clean bed linen as well as environment.
As we had come from London we were unable to check out we were forced to stay in such an environment with children. However photos of the faecal marks were taken and can be provided as and when required.
