As you enter the property, you will drive up a hill that winds around a forestry of trees surrounding the property. At the top of the hill, you will be greeted by a modern, yet rustic home towering over the trees to provide an unforgettable view that overlooks rolling hills as far as you can see. It is truly a magical experience offering rest from the daily grind of normal life.
The hill country views are amazing, and we are located close to whatever it is you're looking to do! The home is 5 minutes from the lake, 10 minutes from the Guadalupe River/Whitewater Amphitheater, 15 minutes from Wimberley and local breweries/wineries, 20 minutes from San Marcos and the Tanger Outlets, 20-30 minutes from Gruene, New Braunfels, and Schlitterbahn, and 30 minutes from Dripping Springs. It truly is the perfect spot for a vacation because there is so much to do close by.
The home is furnished with a queen-sized bed in the downstairs bedroom as well as the loft. The loft also includes a sleeper sofa that can fit 2 people.
In the kitchen, you will find that it is stocked with all the silverware, cutlery, dishes, pots, pans, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, casserole dishes, spices, and cooking oil you'll need to make meals at home.
We also provide a coffee bar stocked with a Keurig, coffee pods (including decaf), a selection of teas, sugar, and creamer.
The loft is furnished with a nice flat-screen Roku TV so you can login to any streaming app during your stay.
Additional amenities you will find include: a washer and dryer, iron, blow dryer, towels, shampoo/conditioner, and more.
You'll have access to the entire home, other than the shed, as that stays locked for our cleaners.
For those of you looking to do some work during your stay, we offer high speed internet, and our dining table has a great view for you to enjoy during the workday.
We do not allow pets in this home and require that you notify the host about any service animals you plan to bring.
Please note, there is a high school located across the street from the home which is in your view to the left but most of your view is of the trees and hills. There may be times where you can hear the sports activities while sitting on the deck if sports are in season.
Please note, in an effort to maintain a secure premises, the home is equipped with a video doorbell at the front and back entrance. The doorbell cameras are also there to help us communicate with guests who have trouble accessing the property and need to reach us quickly. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras on the inside. They cannot see the fire-pit or hot tub for privacy purposes.
Our home is thoroughly cleaned between each stay and ensures compliance with Airbnb's enhanced 5-step cleaning protocol.
Any items left behind by a guest will be either thrown out, or shipped to the guest at their expense.
Canyon Lake is the perfect Texas Hill Country getaway with things to enjoy for any type of guest. The home is 2.5 miles from the Canyon Lake Marina and a great beach spot for the family. For those of you looking for a float trip on the Guadalupe River, the house is only 6 miles from the Horseshoe Loop (a 2hr float depending on water levels) with several tubing outfitters. If you're lucky, you can even catch a concert at the White Water Amphitheater on the Horseshoe. For day trips, Wimberley is 8 miles away, Gruene is 15 miles away, New Braunfels is 17 miles away, and Dripping Springs is 19 miles away. Access is through a smart lockbox. We give you a code in your check in instructions that grants you access during your stay. This code changes for each guest to ensure each guest’s safety.
All guests must notify us if they plan to check-in past 9pm.
We will not be on-site, but are happy to correspond with you over the phone! You can also reach us by pressing the video doorbell.
The home is not located in a neighborhood, but rather located off of a major county road.
The location is extremely convenient and close to several restaurants, the Canyon Lake marina and public beach, the Guadalupe River, Wimberley, and a little further out you can also visit New Braunfels/Gruene, Dripping Springs and even Austin. Our guest guidebook details the best places to eat and visit in the area.
Public transportation is limited to a few Uber cars in the area.
We allow children but please note that the home has a very steep staircase on the front deck and the interior has a spiral staircase. We do not have gates for either, so if you have a child who is likely to go down stairs unattended, please bring your own gates.

Pets are not allowed and host must be notified about any service animals.
Use of drugs on the property is prohibited. Failure to follow this rule will result in automatic loss of security deposit.
Guests cannot check in or out on the 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE or NYD. This is so our cleaners can also have those important holidays off with their families. Please adjust your reservation accordingly before booking.
A refundable security deposit is required for every booking prior to check-in. All reservations must pay a $500 security deposit. Booking guest acknowledges that access to the property will be denied until deposit is paid in full or reservation is forfeited without refund. Payment is collected the day you check in is potentially fully refundable if ALL rules were honored during their stay and no damage to the property is found. Refund is dependent upon ALL guests in the group honoring all house rules, and is initiated after check-out, after all payments have cleared and any needed resolutions made. If any damage is found, we will keep the security deposit according to the cost of the damage and may issue an additional claim through Airbnb if damage costs exceed the amount of the deposit collected. Our goal is to give guests their deposit back at the end of their stay, we do not wish to keep this deposit if everything went smooth. We require a security deposit from all guests. Late check outs will incur a $50 fee every 30 minutes guests are late on check out. If you smoked in the home, you will incur an additional minimum fee of $200 on top of losing your security deposit.
