We received a text message the day of our check in notifying us that the front desk was being remodeled.
We drove 4 hours to the hotel only to discover that there was no front desk. There was no sign or further instructions.
We asked a waitress at the restaurant next door and were told that they had a steady stream of hotel guests asking the same question. Fortunately there were guests in the parking lot that gave us the address of another base camp property where we could check in.
Once we checked into our suite I found stained carpets with runs in the rug Not exactly what I expected for the price of the hotel.
The next day we were informed that our key code wouldn’t work and to drive to the other location to pick up a key.
The following day we were informed of a fire safety check.
The room was never cleaned in our 3 night stay, they provided 4 coffee pods for 2 guests to use over 3 nights. There was no sign to hand on the door to request service.
These are all facts not criticisms. I want other guests to know what to expect.
Btw, I did reach out to the front desk and requested a name, email address and phone number so that I could speak with the owners about these issues. I received an email 24 hours later apologizing for the room key issue and asking me to reach out if there were furthur issues. I chose to enjoy my vacation instead.
The property is in a great location. The bed was comfortable. Other than that I would compare it to a motel 6 in Beverly Hills.
