Welcome to Whispering Hemlock. Located in Wolfe County, Ky only 10 minutes from the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park, this completely secluded log cabin is ideal for nature enthusiasts, hikers, rock climbers, off-road adventurers and those just looking for the perfect family or romantic getaway.

Located on 120 acres of private property this is cabin country living at its best with a luxury feel and very easy 2 wheel drive parking! This newly- constructed cabin comfortably sleeps 6. Guests will appreciate the 360 degrees of total privacy surrounding the cabin. Not another house in site. Enjoy sunrises/sunsets/kayaking and fishing at Campton Lake only 2 minutes from cabin. Enjoy catch and release fishing in our 1 acre pond.

Relax in our new 6 person hot tub in the privacy of the back porch surrounded by nature at its finest.
other outdoor amenities include: firepit (firewood available for purchase on site), double hammock, bistro and patio sets on deck, park style charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal), and spacious parking.

This cabin is constructed of solid wood throughout for the true cabin experience. Open concept living area with spacious loft. Living area includes a 55' flatscreen TV (WIFI) and electric fireplace. Kitchen is fully functional with all new appliances. Master bedroom with KING bed and 2 FULL beds in loft. Bathroom includes open, walk-in shower.

Simply wonderful experience!
We stayed in this beautiful cabin on a lovely winter weekend in January. It was by far the cleanest and most comfortable rental we have stayed in and we have been renting via VRBO for 20 years! It has everything you could possibly need for a few days away from it all. In addition, the owner of the property went above and beyond - contacting us before our trip and also while we were there to let us know about road conditions because of the very snowy weather. We didn’t have any problems whatsoever with the short drive from the town of Campton to/from the cabin, but it was so very nice and hospitable of the owner to take the time to offer support. Overall, we give it a 10/10 and hope to return in the future!

Amazing stay!
My now wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, we thoroughly enjoyed every second of it, it was in the perfect place for all the beautiful parks, our host was excellent and was very fast at responding with any questions we had. We will for sure be staying here again!

Very cozy, clean and comfortable cabin with all the amenities. Loved the fire pit, hot tub, fire place and nice cozy blankets provided in each room. Everything is in a short driving distance from the cabin. Excellent communication with owner. Cabin is beautiful we will return!

Excellent cabin and location
We go to the Gorge a couple times a year and always get a cabin. Very clean and new. You do not need 4WD and it was easy to find. Owner made everything very easy. Oh and the firepit was awesome!

Absolutely amazing!
Enjoyed our stay!! Cabin was clean with had everything you needed, as well as wifi. Hot tub was clean and a good size. Firepit was stocked with wood. Porch is surround for whichever view you choose. Furniture was new and has a walk in shower... wonderful cabin.

Fantastic Cabin in a great Location
Cabin was in a secluded, quiet location tucked away in the trees. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The loft was perfect for our teenage daughter to have her own space. It was a convenient location for exploring everything the Red River Gorge area has to offer. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. We would definitely rent this cabin again if we make a return trip to the area.

My husband and I travel a lot on our motorcycles and this is one of our favorite stays. The cabin is beautiful. It is in a great location, tucked away into the woods for privacy and a symphony of crickets at night but closer enough to make an easy trip for food, riding, or hiking. The porch is spectacular, wrapping around the entire cabin. Everything was clean and comfortable. We hated to leave!

We absolutely loved our week at Whispering Hemlock exploring the Red River Gorge. The cabin is beautiful and incredibly clean! We loved everything about staying here, including the private property, fire pit, hot tub, cozy towels and bedding, etc. The owners were really kind and very responsive as well. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to visit the area!

Wonderful Whispering Hemlock
We had a wonderful stay here! It was beautiful and cozy, and one of the cleanest placest we’ve stayed in. Everything is very new. Comfortable beds, fluffy soft towels, and everything we needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was ready to go when we got there and we loved having it after a day of hiking. We also enjoyed the privacy and it wasn’t too far from our activities. Hope to stay again someday. Thank you!

Relaxing Getaway
What a lovely private space nestled in the mountains of RRG. As Louisvillians, we were familiar with RRG and had been for day trips, but loved the chance to really explore for a weekend. The cabin was spotless when we arrived and had just the right balance of comfort and style. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great cabin in the RRG area!

So very comfortable and perfect location
Absolutely loved out stay. Secluded, peaceful, and gorgeous . The king bed was like a dream and all the furnishings were up to date and comfortable. It is an easy drive to beautiful sites and restaurants. The hot tub was perfect. Large, roomy, powerful jets, and super clean. I loved everything about our stay. I didn’t want to leave! We will definitely return❤️

Wonderful stay in the woods
My wife and I had a great week of vacation here! The cabin is newly built and of great quality. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the place was immaculately clean, and had everything you’d need for a week stay. Access is easy via paved road and just a couple minutes out of Campton. All the rock climbing and hiking of the gorge is easily accessible from here but is located in a nice, low traffic area. The hot tub and hammock were great for relaxing and everything was very well taken care of. The quality of everything was a step above all other rentals I’ve stayed at in the past and I’d highly recommend this as a place to stay. It was obvious that the owners care a lot about providing a wonderful experience for their guests and were very helpful with any questions we had.

Perfect Private Location
Whispering Hemlock was the perfect spot for a short trip with my husband. We spent most of our days hiking in the Red River Gorge and surrounding areas. After a day of hiking we would come back to enjoy the hot tub! Everything was super clean. Highly recommend and would stay here again if we were to return to the area.

5 Star Stay!
Beautiful cabin! Super clean! Very comfortable beds! Came to the area for kayaking and hiking, and the cabin's location was excellent! Our family loved the private fishing pond and hot tub. Jonathan was very welcoming, proactive and responsive. Wish we could have stayed longer! We plan to stay again.
