"We loved the apartment and having two pools was great. The beach was a very short walk across the road and down a trail and there are restaurants on the doorstep. Santa Teresa is the perfect surf and yoga town, has a good healthy lifestyle feel about it and feels safe. We loved being able to walk back and forth to the beach so if one person had enough of the beach they didn't have to wait for the whole family. "This property was absolutely beautiful! Looked just as it did in all the pictures. We traveled from Florida a family of 5, two 10 year olds and one 7. Cori the property manager was so helpful with setting up all our activities, everyone showed up and picked us up to take us to our tours as promised. We enjoyed brunch at the resort next to the property every morning. Even woke up to monkeys in the back yard and the macaws flying around were so neat. "We stayed here for the entire month of April 2024 and enjoyed the house. During the driest and hottest month in CR, the refreshing pool and reliable AC was appreciated. The home was comfortable and modern, and the outdoor area covered. The living area is all outside like many homes in Costa Rica. "Casa Makai is a beautiful property with an incredible ocean/jungle view & very comfortable furnishings. The filtered water system was a treat, allowing us to fill our water bottles and drink directly from the tap, reducing unnecessary plastic waste. It is secured behind a private gate & monitored overnight by an on-sight security guard, (which didn't seem necessary as everyone in town was exceptionally kind and trustworthy).
