Meadow Rock Farm is a timber frame and made of white, red, and pin oak beams that were harvested in the Mid-Atlantic area. Since the house is a true timber frame, all of the beams are created with only wood joinery and secured with hardwood pegs. The beams are a highlight in the house creating very large open spaces.
The house features a spacious great room and dining areas with the ceilings soaring to 30 feet to the third-floor loft. The fireplace is made of Maryland flagstone on the first floor. The kitchen includes a commercial range and a walnut bar top that is 2 inches thick with wood that had been in storage since the Depression.
The house is filled with country antiques and family heirlooms. It has 6 bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 20 people and 4 full bathrooms. The King, Queen, and Double sized beds feature a feather mattress topper, 100% cotton sheeting, and down comforters. There is a third-floor loft TV viewing area with DVD Player, a 2nd-floor game room, and a TV located on the first floor with Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN. There is wireless WiFi throughout the house.
The cedar exterior of the house compliments the woodland setting. Patios of stone and brick overlook the meadow and a fire pit. There are extensive gardens that include roses, perennials, succulents, hostas, and a kitchen herb garden. We encourage our guests to use the vegetables and herbs when they are in season.
