"This is a fab and very economical place for seeing both Scotland and the beautiful Northumberland coast! It is such a lovely cozy place. We had glorious weather when we stayed so maybe we were a bit spoilt, however, you can not take away the fact that this areas has such a great deal to offer! It's right off the A1 so very central yet very tranquil. To the South Edinburgh an hour away, which is absolutely fabulous! To the North, OMG the coastline is amazing! Holy Island is a must! "The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

"The small cottage is very well equipped, It has been very well thought out, every thing you need using the small tidy space. The outside area is so peaceful and will be at it's best in summer. The garden area very secure for a dog and the cottage is ideal for a single person and a four legged companion, quite a rare find. It rained very heavy one evening yet we heard nothing and felt very snug and warm. "

"We loved the layout, the honey gift that we ate almost immediately and the centrality of its location...away from the tourists and yet near enough to many places for us to go and explore."

"The location of the cottage is perfect for days on the beach, walking the cliffs, trips out and days in the garden. Simon and Audrey were the perfect hosts and provided aus with a clean and comfy accommodation. The facilities and the layout of the rooms in the cottage was ideal for our requirements. "Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. This was difficult as some of the party was eldery and found the stairs difficult to navigate, butmon the whole we had a great.time."

"Beautiful, peaceful, cosy. I could go on. The cottage was modern and cosy at the same time. There was a welcome hamper which contained a variety of items which would allow you to eat if you’d brought nothing with you including a cuppa or cappuccino ( with pain au chocolat). The host welcomed us and was available and asked how things were in passing. I would recommend this property and location to anyone. We had a wonderful time."

"The property was in a great location for us and plenty of space inside to be comfy. There was a few little issues, the kettle needs replacing, didnt boil water before clicking off and the cleaning needs improving. 1st mug we used had dry soup in it, few cobwebs around and generally dirty around the floor and cupboards especially in the bathrooms. Shower heads full of limescale too. But as we were out most of the time it didnt affect us. Check in and out was simple if not q little early."

"Wonderfully restored cottage with a lovely farmhouse kitchen complete with AGA and a large sitting room with a log stove (and lots of wood!), surrounded by old fashioned gardens. We found the owner very welcoming and helpful. What more could we ask for a relaxing and comfortable stay!"
