Come enjoy breathtaking views at this updated 4 Bedroom 2 Bath lake house with gentle slopes to the bulkhead and fishing dock. The home features two Bedrooms and a Bathroom downstairs as well as a Prime Bedroom and fourth Bedroom with Bathroom upstairs. The newly updated Kitchen with Whirlpool appliances, cabinets and granite countertop, is well stocked with all the cookware and serving items you will need to prepare and serve ample meals. There is a Breezeway at the home's entrance connecting to the Laundry Room. There is a newly added large covered Porch with a Northern view facing the lake. There is a swing near the bulkhead where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. We have a propane grill/griddle for your use and require grille mats to be used (we provide) to keep grease off the grille. If we have to clean, we will assess a cleaning fee. We recently added a outdoor fire pit (fire wood stacked nearby) for you to use., as well as two fishing kayaks (extra fees apply).
We have StarLink high speed internet. We have smart TV’s in the Living Room and all Bedrooms. Hulu+ is provided. Use your favorite apps. Guest Wifi is available. AT&T as well as Verizon cell service has also been available on the property and dock with a good signal, however just a few blocks away the signal is no longer available. There are closed circuit cameras on the exterior of the property but not inside the home.
There is a public boat launch 1.6 miles away at 151 Hickory Hill Drive. The closest convenience store is the Trading Post on Hwy 692 near Hwy 255 near the dam. Then we have Tidbits and Tackle, 11 miles East down Hwy 255 turn left and cross the dam on the Louisiana side. They are located at Hwy 392 and Hwy 111 intersection. Both sell non-ethanol gas, live bait and limited groceries. Other full grocery stores are available in Leesville, Jasper, Burkeville or Newton, and you may want to shop prior to arrival.
Should an emergency arise, call 911 immediately, the address is 129 Elm, Burkeville, TX. There is a local volunteer fire department, sheriff and EMS to respond to emergency or ambulatory needs. The nearest doctors or hospitals are in Jasper, Hemphill or Leesville, LA.
There is ample room to park on the property inside the gates and fenced in areas. Guests are limited to no more than four-five vehicles and trailers. No parking on the street or cul-de-sac is allowed as you will be potentially towed by the neighbors without warning. No motor homes or travel trailers are allowed on the property without prior express written permission and the understanding there is a 12' overhead power line over the driveway. The Garage is locked and off limits to guests however the Laundry Room is available for guest's use and accessed from the Breezeway. Please park cars on the driveway and not the grass which cause ruts.
Belle Vue has a newly built floating covered boat house. The area for the boat is 10' wide by 24' long. We have an electrical outlet there to charge batteries, overhead LED lights, and a cleaning table/spray faucet and water hose. Guests need to open the valve at the pier/bulkhead to provide water to the boat dock. There is a ramp from the pier to the boat house and guests need to exercise caution when accessing the boat house due to wind and waves. Please do not uncover any owner boats on the property.
