Well Appointed Lake Front Ranch that Sleeps 10

Bring the extended family to stay at our sprawling 4 bedroom, 3 bath lakefront home. The home has a covered patio and oversized deck with sweeping views of Lake Palestine, seating for 12, and a a grill. Walk a few steps down the flagstone path to the built in fire pit for night time s'mores. Keep going to the boathouse, complete with a slip and lift for you boat, a sunning/swimming platform, and a fish cleaning station. It's a perfect spot for enjoying a sunny day or getting in some night fishing.

The inside of the house is just as inviting as the outside. There are four bedrooms, each with a king size bed. The master is at the back of the house to maximize the view of the lake. It has its own TV and attached bath with an oversized soaking tub and separate shower. Off the master is a sitting room with a queen size pull-out. There is a second master at the front of the house also with its own TV and an attached bath with a shower tub combo. There are two more good size bedrooms that share a full bathroom with a tub shower combo.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, a coffee station, a full complement of cooking implements, and a wide selection of spices. It opens to a dining room
with seating for 12. On one side of the dining room is a comfortable living room with a 60 inch television equipped with YouTube TV. On the other side is a small den with another TV and door that takes you out to the back yard and to the master.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood on Lake Palestine with easy access to south Tyler restaurants, shopping, and attractions.

Anniversary getaway
We have stayed here before 3 years ago. It was nice to come back to a familiar area! We love morning coffee on the back porch and watching sunset sky in the evening. This time we went into Jacksonville and had fun exploring. One evening we drove to Palestine for a great dinner at Queen Street Grille in the historic Redlands Hotel.

Weekend at the lake
We had a great time with family fishing, kayaking and just spending time together. The house was roomy, the deck was great and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. It was nice to have 3 full baths.

Christmas Family Reunion
Great location and home to bring our family together to celebrate Christmas. We came from 4 different states with some coming as far as Arizona, Nevada and South Carolina. The host even decorated the home for Christmas which was a really nice touch! We had a great week!

Wonderful property
This property was perfect for our three couples, nothing is overlooked here, they have thought of everything that you might want or need during your stay. Johanna, her sons and Mary were extremely responsive and helpful. We had a problem with the coffee pot, they immediately replaced it with a brand new one. We spent lots of time on the covered patio, played games in the game room, the Wi-Fi was great, TV in almost every room, even a USB port for chargers. The kitchen was well appointed, everything was neat and clean, even the outside grill was clean! The view of the water is so peaceful, many birds and squirrels to watch. Overall a lovely property, we can't wait to return!

It was a beautiful home with all the amenities you could want. The boat dock with a lift was great to get out on the water quickly. Plenty of space for the 8 of us to feel like we had our own space. Can’t wait to go back.

Fun times!!
We had so much fun with our friends this weekend. This house didn’t have a pool but our friends had rented the house next door that had the pool! This house is very spacious and a great little get away. We also loved the smaller space off of the house, like a man cave!! Our secret hideaway!!

Relaxing Memorial Day Weekend
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend with our 2 dogs and another couple. The house was a great setup for our group, inside and outside. The lake access was perfect - we fished, kayaked, and swam in the lake off the dock. The house was well stocked - kitchen and grill supplies, games, lanterns, toiletries, firewood, ice maker, extra drink fridge, dog water bowls. I tend to overpack and hardly used anything I brought. There is a Dollar General less than 10 minutes away, a Valero 15 minutes away that sells minnows/bait, and the best donut store next door to Valero. One tip - we zip tied the gates on the fenced backyard. Our dogs were able to push the gate open. They were also able to slip around the end of the fence at the water to visit the neighbors. It is very secure, just keep an eye out for your animals as a responsible owner. The neighborhood and lake were quiet for a Memorial Day weekend. It was a perfect, relaxing time; exactly what we needed! We will visit again and bring our boat next time!

Great place
Our entire family stayed and enjoyed boating and fishing. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The only negative thing is the neighborhood has a lot of big dogs that roam freely and use the front yard. There was an abundance of dog poo in the front yard when we arrived. My BIL picked up a LOT. If you bring a dog, beware and keep it leashed if you go for a walk.

Nice getaway
The house was so much bigger than we envisioned. Very clean with hand sanitizers everywhere! Extremely comfortable mattresses in every room. Decorated minimally which I like because seeing too much of other people’s stuff can get creepy sometimes. We thoroughly enjoyed our coffee each morning on the covered back patio facing the water. We hope to return some day with more family members.

Weekend birthday getaway
Good location. Right at beginning of canal but close to body of water. My family had caught several fishes right off the dock, especially birthday girl got few. Wish the dock was bit bigger for all of us to spread out. Back yard was bit dark, be sure take flashlight with you. The house is spacious and plenty of king size bedrooms, its in spilt house. The master bedroom has lake view on the corner which nice to wake up to. Kitchen (bit outdated) was alley size but dining room table was big enough for all of to sit together as family which was awesome! The overall house was pretty good, not fully clean but wasn’t a bothersome for us. We all had great time especially the birthday girl. Thank you!

Great stay… will stay again!
Stayed here for a long weekend with extended family . Our relatives live right across the county road so it was perfect to go back and forth with our golf cart across the streets :) Also made use of the dock with our own paddle board and boat in the slip which was super nice. Beds were great, house was cleaned well for us and the kitchen is well appointed. The view cannot be beat. The host was easy to communicate with as well. Great time!

Lake Palestine Paradise
It was nothing short of wonderful. The accommodations were great and the Caretaker (James Ivey) and Leah Castella were wonderful to work with. Our family enjoyed the weekend with us, it was our 50th wedding anniversary we could not have been happier with this property. It rained two days but with the patio set up we sat outside and had a great time. We will for sure rent this property again.

Rainy weekend was great
The property is just as it says and there is plenty of room in the entire place so you don't feel crowded. We thought the back porch could use a little refresh/cleanup. Carpet replaced at least. If you are an expert chef bring your own pots and pans. Overall we had a wonderful time and laughed and played games. I would do this again with kids in the summer. Thank you for a great getaway. Beautiful home
We enjoyed our stay very much. The home is very spacious and was roomy enough for all of us. We had plenty of room to spread out. We really enjoyed the backyard and the lake area as well. We had plenty of towels and linens. Kitchen was well stocked and the garage was much appreciated for our car. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
