Comfortable and convenient, Dunwell Cottage is a darling house in the heart of Salida. Walk out the door to Riverside Park and downtown cafes, galleries and shops. Feel right at home in this well-appointed cottage. It's a wonderful way to experience downtown Salida!
This home offers:

~A bright interior with comfortable furnishings.
~Two comfy bedrooms; both with queen sized beds.
~Sleeper sofa in the living room allows for a total of 6 guests.

~The all-natural snow at Monarch Mountain ski area is 25 minutes away, or bike the first class trails on Tenderfoot Mountain - just blocks away. The best of Colorado's seasons surrounds you!
-2 well behaved dogs are welcome

All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, coffee filters and laundry soap.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm.

All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book ā€œCheck-In and Check-Out instructions.

~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. 24 to 48 hours before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.

**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $3000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund. 14 to 29 days prior to arrival 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions, spotty internet service or interruption of service.

Adorable little house, but surprisingly roomy inside. (It widens out towards the back.) Two large bedrooms with comfortable beds and two bathrooms make it perfect for two couples. Very short walk to many good restaurants and bars and shops and galleries. And yet it was quiet and restful. Highly recommend!

Very cute home and excellent location

We only got to stay in the home for a bit because the water was not working, but the property manager was able to quickly move us to another home in the area. When we go back, we would choose this home over the one we were moved to. The other one was fine, but this one has more charm and had more space between the living areas and bedrooms so it would have been quieter for sleepers.

Great House - Even better location

The house is a good size and a friendly layout. Beds are queen sized and theyā€™re on south side of house so it gets wonderful sunlight in the mornings. Kitchen has everything you would need for a short stay if you choose the cook. Location is a very short walk to the River and Downtown - perfect for walking dogs, people watching and shops and restaurants. Accuracy note: the location of the house is misrepresented in the Pinon online app but the address is correct and easily found using Google or Apple.

Wonderful Visit

Really enjoyed our five day stay in Salida. Weā€™ve tried a couple of different rental homes in town over the past few years and Dunwell Cottage is the best. Great location, close to the river and downtown activities, and easy walking distance to the Little Red Hen bakery and the Farmers Market. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and the backyard is perfect for reading and socializing. Wish the TV had cable.

Interior Excellent, Exterior Needs Work

Inside was very nice and cozy, wverything we needed. The outside could use some TLC and curb appeal, not very inviting. Location completely makes up for it. Seeing the outside in person gave me some hesitation that the whole place was run down but once we were inside we could see that a lot of attention and upgrading had been done inside. Dogs are allowed but the fenced in area is very small and the fence is only about 30" high, something to keep in mind. Overall we enjoyed our experience, just wish there was maybe some front yard seating or an inviting patio i stead of dead plants.

Very attractive and comfortable cottage walking distance to everything Salida has to offer. But be forewarned, if you want to watch the big game, thereā€™s no cable. ROCU and access to your own subscriptions are whatā€™s available. Otherwise this is a nicely renovated and charming cottage.

Clean house in safe and central location. No great views from inside home but GREAT location 1 block from Arkansas river & park, 1.5 blocks or less than 5-minute walk from restaurants, pubs, cafes, etc. 5-10 min walk to grocery stores. Good communication from property management company including guide on checkin process, things to do and dining options in area, and other recommendations. Recommended.
