New 2 Bed/2 Bath Cottage in mid-island locattion Glynn Haven

Welcome to Palmetto Cottage!

You will love this two bedroom and two bath bungalow located in Glynn Haven Estates. This central island location gives you easy access to Sea Palms and the King and Prince golf courses. You will be a short walk or golf cart ride to numerous, eclectic shops and restaurants that line both sides of Frederica Road. This location also has great on/off island access via Sea Island Causeway.

When you are not out and about, you can enjoy the new construction in Palmetto Cottage. Ceramic hardwood flooring throughout, modern kitchen, solid surface counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, tray ceilings, walk in showers, great stone and tile work. It is just an amazing little bungalow.

Each of the two bedrooms has new, comfortable Queen beds. Just off the dining room area, you can retreat to the patio in a private, fenced-in area.

Come see us at Palmetto Cottage located at 518 Palmetto Street, St. Simons Island.

CHECK IN: 4:00 pm
CHECK OUT: 10:00 am

• Any group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants (4 persons).
• Parking is available for 2 cars in the driveway
• Dog friendly with a non-refundable deposit. Limit 2 pups.

Minimum age to rent is 25. This applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

What to Expect in your Unit:
• There are 2 TVs in this property.
• Linens (Bath towels and bed sheets) are provided along with a Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels and Trash Bags (Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.)

Pretty little place inside. Lacks enough seating for four people unless sit in stools for the hightop eating table. Overall good stay just not much room to park or converse with family on property. Having the rental agency so difficult to get back and forth was also bothersome. Loved the bedrooms and showers too.

Location is nice quiet little residential neighborhood - it’s a bit of a ways away from the south end of the island where the beachy village/shops and stuff are but that was fine for us since we weren’t going to be in town long enough to make it to the beach anyway. We were visiting to attend an event on Jekyll Island and wanted to find a pet friendly location nearby so we could bring our small dogs. This was great - the fenced in yard goes all the way around the house so there was plenty of room for them to run around and explore. House was super clean and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Some nice restaurants and bars were nearby and grocery store just a short drive away. Would definitely recommend if you need pet friendly and want to have a private fenced yard for the pups.

Pictures don’t do it justice!
This property is so much better in person! The photos make it look much smaller but it’s actually very open and the perfect size for two couples or a family of 4. We traveled with our dogs and the fenced yard was great to have! My only suggestion would be to put down some sort of ground cover in the yard area as the dogs did track in quite a bit of sandy dirt, but there was a broom available for me to keep that manageable! The house looks brand new inside, and smelled great!! The appliances all worked great and the beds were comfortable! There is only one television though, so if you are a TV watcher just be aware of that. While the property is about 15 minutes drive time from the public beach, it’s a beautiful drive and we didn’t mind it at all. Neighborhood was very quiet and seemed very safe. The staff at the office was great and very friendly! We will definitely book again with Real Escape Properties!

Palmetto cottage
We enjoyed our stay here. Someone else wrote the property is in a high density area and that is very true. Worried me a bit but the neighbors are very nice and the area is quite. Close to downtown and other amenities. The yard is completely fenced for the 4 legged kids to roam. Wished it wasn't all dirt because they did track a lot into the house. House is very comfortable and amenities to cooking and cleaning up are good as well. Bring extra dishwasher soap since they only give you 2. They do supply towels, and toiletries but extra is always recommended to bring. Overall I would recommend this unit and would stay again. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Great stay
My wife and I had a nice stay at this house. Everything inside was well maintained and clean. Surrounding neighborhood felt very safe as well. Solid location within 10-15 minute drive or less to anything on St. Simon and only about a 30 minute drive to Jekyll Island. My only recommendations for improvement would be the backyard outdoor space could use a little TLC, and if there’s any way to tone down the kitchen sink jet spray, that’d be good as well. All in all, I definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

We appreciated the property. It was clean and efficient, but the best aspect of it for us was that it was, not only pet friendly, but had a fenced-in yard. The neighborhood is high-density, but all the people we met were friendly and welcoming. We'd recommend additional lighting.
