Renter Beware Here is list of problems we had with staying at the Serenity by the Sea property. This place cost the price of the Hilton and we should have had NO issues at all at that price point. This place needs a ton of updates and I've made a list of immediate issues that we should not have had to deal with while staying there.#1 the mold and mildew needs to be professionally cleaned and painted over with Kilz. 2 in our party have asthma and it flared up due to this. Especially in the basement bedroom where 4 of our people should have been sleeping.#2 there is no air flow in the house. No central AC and only 4 windows that open, 2 of which are in the basement and 1 is a tiny kitchen window that has to be closed from the outside. We had to buy 2 box fans, renutiz air fresheners and close the basement door to reduce the smell and get the air flowing from the tiny air unit in the living room to the kitchen and bedrooms.#3 the oven door locked while cooking our apple pie and we spent 30 minutes figuring out how to release the lock because the 2 buttons that you hold down to release the lock do not work. We used it The day before with no issue. The apple pie was not edible by the time we unlocked it.#4 the dryer takes 3 cycles to dry 1 load of clothes.#5 there was no telescope to be found. #6 no Ziploc bags, aluminum foil or plastic wrap nor enough silverware for 10pl.#7 beach access is for the physically fit only!
