"First time VRBO customer. Process for booking was easy, description of property was accurate. Communication with host was superb. Any issues we had were quickly taken care of. It was as you would expect a cabin to be: minimalistic. All flatware, cooking and BBQ utensils, pot, pan and baking sheet were provided. Pots are sized for cabins. If you intend to cook large group meals bring your own. Very close to water, kayaks & life vests available. Paddle boat available for use. "

The beds were very comfortable, the towels were large and fluffy, and everything was new and clean! We felt safe in walking around during the day, and enjoyed a walk along the river. "Went up to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. Both youngest kids had a half hour drive from Ferris State University. My oldest had to work in Big Rapids. My parents live an hour and ten minutes away. Perfect location on the lake to have a small gathering for a day. Hiking trails nearby. Spent a night alone in the peaceful morning waking up to a beautiful lake and breeze. Plan to return. "

"The property was in a good location, right on the lake with beautiful views and designated parking. The place was well stocked with everything you'd need for a short stay, especially the kitchen. Super clean, comfortable, spacious. We had an issue with the bed, but the mattress was very comfy, and lots of blankets. Excellents hosts. Definitely recommend."

"I’m rented Cabin 2 for a short “girls trip” with my friend and wanted something inexpensive, cozy and good for relaxing. This was mostly what we found. "We love our stay in the Sunset Suite at Blue Heron Retreat. The setting over the lake is beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kayaks, and maybe most of all just watching the sunrise over the lake. Everything was very clean and we loved the extra touches like fresh flowers and lavender. We came to the area to Ike the Dragon Trail and are thrilled to have found such a great place to stay. We will be back!"
